Hi all! First off, this will be the fourth time that I will have used the DesignOutpost staff for a logo project. You are all the BEST!!! I am very excited to undertake this next project.

Our new company will be named Clark Benefits Consulting. Below are our answers to the logo design submission sheet:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

We would like our logo to utilize the stand alone name Clark as well as the entire name Clark Benefits Consulting. In addition, we would potentially like to see some sort of emblem or design that would add graphic appeal to the logo. Simple is better. As noted in a later post, we think a lighthouse would be a cool concept as our offices are very close to a historic lighthouse. We really like the way The Hartford www.thehartford.com uses a classic font along with a deer to create a really classy logo What type of product or service do you offer?

We are a human resources consulting firm.

How long have you been in business?

We are a brand new entity.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

We would like our identity to give our company an established and distinguished look.

What are your long term goals?

We would like to grow into a highly prominent firm within our field recognized nationally.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

We would like to have a final design in place by January 1 or sooner.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience

Our audience will consist of primarily human resource and finance executives.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

The above audience is suitable for our needs.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

We like classic, simple designs/

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

We are open to suggestion, but are thinking no more that two colors at this point, we are partial to earth tones. We would like to keep our print materials and electronic visuals simple.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

No. Open to suggestion

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Strong, prominent, classic

What is your tagline or slogan?

We do not wish to use a tagline for our logo.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

We would like to give the visual appearance of a large, prominent company.

Where will your new logo be used?

Print materials, website, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

Our competitors would include the following companies:

www.aon.com
www.mercer.com
www.towersperrin.com
www.willis.com

We do not care much for any of their logos, except for the fact that they are simple.

What sets you apart from your competitors?

We are innovative, young, energetic and most of all ethical.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Youth, Innovation, Energy and Passion

Thanks for the quick submission Blesseville! However, we think this looks a tad bit feminine (if that makes any sense) for our taste; we would like our logo to appear strong/sturdy, yet elegant and simple. In addition, looking at this design, we all think we like thinner lines, as opposed to the bold lines you have.

Very nice work, just not quite what we are looking for. Thanks!!! :-)

Steve

Hello all, I think I need to clarify my desires a little bit more as the designs you all have created, while all very professional and well done, are not really coming close to what I am looking for. More so than anything, I want our logo to be elegant and simple. I would like designs to utilize classic fonts. A great example of a logo I really like is the logo for the insurance company The Hartford. www.thehartford.com The fonts are simple and classic, the logo has nice symetry and there is a free-standing mark associated with it.

I guess more than anything, I really would like simplicity and the use of classic fonts. Does this help at all? I am not a real expert at this and any advice I can give you to direct you more would be appreciated. I know you all are fantastic designers as I have seen all of your work on this site. Please let me know how I can help guide all of you.

P.S. - I love the logo in another thread for HighGrove Partners (the original logo with the trees). That is more the theme I am looking for both with the fonts as well as with the designs. This is on the thread for KnowWater logo.

We all came up with an idea for an icon tongiht that might look great with the verbiage of our logo. Our offices are very close to a historic lighthouse. Perhaps a classy image of a lighthouse could be incorporated into the design?

Once again, simple and classy. Much like The Hartford's Deer or the logo I mentioned earlier for High Grove Partners that is currently on the logo forum (in the Know Water thread).

Take a look at the website we are currently building for any ideas. It is really just a blank shell right now, but might be of assistance:

http://clarkbenefits.squarespace.com

Please note that the website banner at the top is not ours, we will not have one until we have a logo. We just threw in one we found on the web to give us some ideas. If any of you are interested, we will be looking for someone to design the website banner once we have a logo.

Thanks so much everyone, sorry we have been so scatter-brained on this project.

Freetime's design is getting very close to what we are looking for. We are not entirely sure about the font for Clark and would like to see a few different options and possibly options where the letters are all the same height to maintain symetry. Also perhaps an option using lowercase letters after the "C" as well, but what you have is really close. Also, would it be possible to maybe see an option with a light beam coming from the lighthouse that would work its way over the Clark name to the left? We aren't sure if that is something that would look good, but would like to see it as an option.

This is the closest to what we have been looking for thus far. Thanks!

Let's stick without the beam of light (I tried to tell them!).

Are there a couple of other font suggestions for the Clark wording? We love the lighthouse as well as the Benefits Consulting font, just would like to see a couple options for the Clark font. Thanks! Looking good!

Hi Freetime!

We are thinking we really like the sizing of the first logo. Where the top of the Clark wording is even with the second window on the lighthouse. In addition we like the smaller Benefits Consulting words of the first logo. So in summary, we love the sizing of the first logo, just want to see a couple different font options in that size range. Of the three you last submitted, font 1 and 3 are ones we like, but would just like to see them a little shorter relative to the lighthouse and the benefits consulting kept small as well. We like more compact designs. Well done! Almost there!
