Everyone does such a great job on here, so I'm excited what you'll come up with this time.
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
- Craft Bonanza
What type of product or service do you offer?
- Start-up business for crafters to sell their products
How long have you been in business?
- New - Had domain for years.. finally decided to do something with it.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
- This logo should be fun but professional. I'm not concerned as I've seen so many fantastic designs.
What are your long term goals?
- Setup the business in '08 to strongly compete with other sites in this niche.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
- January 25th, however more important to find a logo that is what we're looking for.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
- There are two types of customers:
crafters/artists selling their products
people looking to buy handmade crafts/art
It's an online craft show
- Most of the crafters/artists tend to be women.
- Ages range from 20's - 50's.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
- Everyone :) I expect most of the people using this type of service are less established. I would like to develop the business to attract the seasoned veterans as well.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
- I'm looking for something that's professional, fresh and fun. Artists tend to be the non-conformists... so not too stiff. I like logos that play on the letters or fonts.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
- None really. Like the web 2.0 type colors.. fresh & clean
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
- Not really. Plan to Trademark the logo
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
- Fun, modern and worth the investment
What is your tagline or slogan?
- Don't have one yet... you can make one up for placement sake. Plan to create one.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
- Again, modern, and fun for crafters
- Exciting, fresh and trustworthy for people buying the crafts
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, marketing materials, shirts, hats... you name it
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
- The biggest player in this space doesn't have much of a "logo"..
List competitive URLs if possible
- http://www.etsy.com
- ebay in a sense..
What sets you apart from your competitors?
- I need to make it easier to navigate and find products. None at the moment since it's new
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
- Fun yet respectable
