Everyone does such a great job on here, so I'm excited what you'll come up with this time.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
- Craft Bonanza

What type of product or service do you offer?
- Start-up business for crafters to sell their products

How long have you been in business?
- New - Had domain for years.. finally decided to do something with it.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
- This logo should be fun but professional. I'm not concerned as I've seen so many fantastic designs.

What are your long term goals?
- Setup the business in '08 to strongly compete with other sites in this niche.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
- January 25th, however more important to find a logo that is what we're looking for.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
- There are two types of customers:

crafters/artists selling their products
people looking to buy handmade crafts/art

It's an online craft show

- Most of the crafters/artists tend to be women.
- Ages range from 20's - 50's.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
- Everyone :) I expect most of the people using this type of service are less established. I would like to develop the business to attract the seasoned veterans as well.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
- I'm looking for something that's professional, fresh and fun. Artists tend to be the non-conformists... so not too stiff. I like logos that play on the letters or fonts.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
- None really. Like the web 2.0 type colors.. fresh & clean

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
- Not really. Plan to Trademark the logo

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
- Fun, modern and worth the investment

What is your tagline or slogan?
- Don't have one yet... you can make one up for placement sake. Plan to create one.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
- Again, modern, and fun for crafters
- Exciting, fresh and trustworthy for people buying the crafts

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, marketing materials, shirts, hats... you name it

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
- The biggest player in this space doesn't have much of a "logo"..

List competitive URLs if possible
- http://www.etsy.com
- ebay in a sense..

What sets you apart from your competitors?
- I need to make it easier to navigate and find products. None at the moment since it's new

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
- Fun yet respectable

Thanks for the submission Logoholik. I felt the colors and fonts were too plain. Reminded me of wood, not what I wanted. Hoping to see what else you and the other talented designers come up with.

The site will sell handmade high-end products/crafts. Many of the artists will come from design and art schools. I don't want them to feel like their working for a corporation and this should reflect their craft - realize this is hard to visualize without the site up. The site also needs to give consumers a sense of comfort that this site is legitimate.

Fresh, fun, creative! Who's in?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Carol :)

Thanks for the submission... I've been anxious to see things pick up. I'm not sure this one is catching my attention. I don't think want it on black and the focus on "bo" seems awkward. The colors aren't bad though.

I like the web 2.0, fresh and fun feel... not sure that helps much :(

Thanks

Tini1 - I like where it's heading, thanks. Not sure I like the squiggly thingy much though. I like the tagline - concerned the "create" implies we're selling craft supplies vs. products created by hand from artists/crafters. I like it though. Can we offset the color in the orange perhaps. Would like to see a play on the fonts some way.

I like the colors, but I think that scheme is a bit overplayed to where it will blend with everyone else.

I also have the following domain variations:
- craftsbonanza
- craftbonanzas
All will feed into the same site. Maybe the s will give you all more to work with.. just a thought

Titania - something about this I don't like.. can you try a different color?
Taldo - I like the concept, not fond of the font though.

Thanks

Thank you all for the submissions. So far I think my favorites are Taldo #17 & Tini #19

I'd like to see if anyone else has some ideas as well.

Taldo - There seems to be a something missing from #17. I like it just not making me say "that's it!"

Tini - I like the tag line, the mixed media and I like the magenta added from #20. Can you try including the magenta into #19? I'm also a little worried the mixed media dwarfs the name..

Thanks
Chris

Titania - thanks for the different colors but I don't think I like this concept. Sorry!

Hi Tini1 - I like that one better. The stop.shop.imagine is a little hard to read though. Also, could you try a different shape than the star, perhaps a rounded square or something.. wanna see what that looks like. Thanks

Sorry for not responding sooner..

Fran - Sorry but this is not what we're looking for
Taldo - I really like the different tags. I think I prefer it coming off the name as in #17, but like the 3 that you have submitted.

Need to get feedback from a couple people and will make a decision shortly.
Thanks

I choose Tini's design #19

Tini - I like #19 the best but using the height of #25.

Taldo - I really liked your design as well and am interested in using it on another domain. I will post another project. Please submit your design to that project.

Thank you!

tini - this looks good, can you make the stop.shop.imagine in the blue. Can you try the pink/magenta (sorry not sure what color that is) from the previous design? I'd like to see it with three colors. Thanks!

Hi Tini -

So sorry, can you make "craft bonanza" the same weight as #20 and I think that's it. How do I get the originals? What font are you using?

tini1
02-09-2008, 01:46 PM
Hi:) Here is the font weight (in 20) and one with the font(#20)
let me know which you'd like....I'll included a file information file, with font names. etc:)
Thanks:)
