Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? The name of the studio...not necessarily the whole thing. "emily deisroth photography + design"....it's a long name, which is why I need to change my logo. THe whole name does not need to be a pat of the logo, but emily deisroth photography is the crucial part..
What type of product or service do you offer? boutique photography. weddings, families, maternity, newborn and children. powerful images with custom designed products like books, photo art, cards...
How long have you been in business? 5 years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? a graphic image that identifies the studio..not just my big huge long studio name.
What are your long term goals? have an identifiable product..both the images that I produce and the designs that we create from them.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? 7 days
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - upper income 30 somethings living in the city...just getting married or starting families. transient..
Who would you like to add to your audience? Families with older children - 5+
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? fresh, funky but sleek. Logo must blend with my current website. www.emilydeisroth.com and www.another3amproduction.typepad.com
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) must blend with current website www.emilydeisroth.com
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? no
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? professional, established, artistic, NOT Traditional... One of the issues that I have is that I need to convey that I am a non-traditional photographer..that I do not do "formal portraits"..as much as I try to convey it, many people don't read or pay attention...
What is your tagline or slogan? "an instant of life...captured for eternity"
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? capture the real person/family..relationships, not just people smiling and perforn=ming for the camera.
Where will your new logo be used? Website, blog..all packaging and marketing materials
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? "photojournalistic" photographers. THie logos all seem to have one block of color with their intiials in it. or are just their names. I would like something a little LOUDER than that, more graphic than wordy, but simplistic.
List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors? interaction with clients and post processing techniques...products are more art than just photos.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: Fresh creative funky
