Can someone explain to me how the template design works?

After it is completed can it be edited like any web site? How would I use it to start my web site? Any help would be great?

Thanks,

CJ

Hi C.J. a winning template design is a file with the .htm extension so yes, you would be able to edit it in any html editor. When you have a contest, the designer makes a mock-up and if chosen as the winner they convert it to html.

What you would do with the template file is place it in a folder on your computer. Right click and choose copy. Right click again and choose paste. You then would rename that file to whatever you want the web page to be called I.e. contact.htm You then open up that contact.htm file in your html editor and change the content of the page to say what you want and add any images you need.

You do need to know your way around html and transferring your files to a server to make your web site. What we do here is provide you with the basic skeleton, you would be responsible for the rest. If you're a novice in web design you could hire someone to do this for you.

Here is the winning design for Liberty First Bank converted to html to give you an idea of what you would be provided with from the designer...
