This is an interesting design. I would like to see it in orange, blue and white. Also, is there anyway to add an international or global aspect to the design.

I would like to see a design that has an international or global appeal to the design. Maybe a world map might be interesting. Whatever you do, no globes. Plus, I would like to see my company colors of orange, blue and white incorporated in the design.

To Design Team: The logo design is too formal. We dont want a computer terminal in the logo design. I liked that you incorporated our tag line "Teach English Abroad." I am looking for a logo that is more creative and appeals to our target audience: 18 to 35 year olds.

We are a youth oriented company. Our students are very interested in cultural issues, learning a foreign language, and immersing themselves in the culture, language and traditions of an country outside of North America. Our students go to 80 different countries. Some of the most popular destinations are: Korea, China, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Italy, and Mexico. We need a logo that is international, hip, fun. It will be used on our stationary, website and everything about our company.

I like the orange color. I think the open book which is used in your design means in Greek methology symbolizes "knowledge yet to be learned." Many educational institutions catering to grades K - 12 use the open book. It is not a good choice for us because we work with 18 to 35 year olds. The globe is always a safe choice to use in design work for a company like mine. The only problem is that many of competitors use globes in their logo. I seek a more distinctive design that will set us apart from our competitors. The globe is a safe choice but I would like to see a more creative design.

This design uses the type of font that I like. It is clean and crisp and can be used on stationary. In your design you use the globe. Many of my competitors use globes in their logo designs. As such we would be like everyone else and I dont want that. I want my company to stand apart from my competitors and I want my logo to appeal to 18 to 35 year olds. We will probably need to look at more abstract designs that incorporate an international appeal. Maybe the image of a map or overlapping maps with the "TEFL Institute" emblazoned across them might have some appeal. The color scheme is a bit dark and I am interested to see your designs in brighter or more vibrant colors that pop. NO NEON COLORS PLEASE.

This logo is a safe bet. It is very corporate, clean, and conveys that we are a good safe reputable company. These are good things. But, we need to stand out from the crowd. We need to show our customer that we are young, progressive, and very international.
I am trying to move away from the globe, although I do like your concept of the globe, because many of my competitors use the globe. I would like to see a design that does not use the globe. I want something that is more abstract.
I like the use of small pheres in your globe design. I think we can build on that.
Again, If I wanted a corporate logo, this would be my choice. But, I would like to see something more modern or abstract that conveys internationalism. We must reach across the international borders and join hands with other cultures.
I see my company as the link or bridge that allows individuals to travel the world and immerse themselves in the culture, language, tradition and customs of countries as a volunteer or servant of the people.
So, I would like to see a more abstract design that truly conveys who are such as "hands linking hands" or " bridge connecting the world together" or other symbols that connects people to each other.

This design incorporates everything that I dont want to see in a logo. It uses the globe.
The globe is used by many of my competitors. It makes us look like everyone else. I want us to be distinctive.
The design uses a big square block. It is very corporate and I want to get away from that as well.
The words TEFL Institute is an interesting look and I like that.
I want to see a design that links groups together across the globe. We are a service oriented company. We are the bridge or path that allows others to see the world.
I hope you can use symbols or imagery to drive the point home and not rely on a globe. It is too typical of my industry and I need use to be different and unique and more importantly distinctive.

Using the globe to make connections
I want to be clear. I don't want to use a globe in my logo. Please see all of my comments. I say, "No Globes Please."
In my industry, many of my competitors use globes in their logo. My company is not just another go abroad company.
If you want to see an innovative logo for a company in my business check out: www.i-to-i.com or www.crossculturalsolutions.org.
I want a distinctive logo. No Globes Please. Please no more globes.
Although, if I wanted a design with globes, I like this design. But, its not what I want.

The spacing and font used in the word "INSTITUTE" is very interesting and I like it. I don't get the design with TEFL in it. It still reminds me the globes. I dont want globes in my design. Perhaps, you can re-create this logo with other colors. Let me see how that looks. Please redesign the "TEFL" part of the design.

I really like this design. I think the font is very youthful for "TEFL" and the font the "Institute" is very strong and professional which is a good contrast and message.
I would like to see the word "Institute" spaced out (spread) completely under the word "TEFL" such that the "I through the "E" in "Institute" is completely under the word "TEFL".
Also, I would like to see it different colors just to see how it would it look.
Also, I would like to see a design with crisp and clean font used in the word "TEFL".
If could see a few designs with different fonts and in different colors.
Also, I like the symbol. If you could make a few variations of it the symbol it would nice. Maybe we can make each spoke a different color.
We think is an exciting design and concept. We would like to work with it a bit more to fully appreciate all it bring. Please show some variations on this design with color, font, and design.

Bridging the language gap... :)
I like idea the idea of bridging the language gap with the logo. Good concept lets see the bridge with a circle or some other symbol.
Also, lets blow up the font and get really funky with it. We want to attract the young, hip, adventurous type who are the early adopters.

v11. Please let me know what kind of color scheme you prefer and I can them show some font variations. Thanks.
This is our Number 1 choice for the design if we can get a few elements aligned with what we are looking for.
I like the logo colors:
1. Blue & Green
2. Orange & Blue
3. Gray & Yellow
Lets focus on the symbol. What do you call it?
I want to see a design with each spoke of the symbol a different color representing the color of people around the world: black, brown, yellow, red, and white... maybe?
Thanks

Thanks. Here are two multicolor options. One with skin related tones, the other a color spectrum.
Thank you for the two designs. We prefer the skin related tones.
However, the yellow "Institute" will probably not do to well on white T-Shirts, stationary, or envelopes.
We want to see this design in the blue and green color scheme. "Institute" must be in the green color. The word "TEFL" in blue.
Also, we would like to see the spoked wheel in a solid blue with one green spoke. We will compare this design against the skin tone one.
Also, can you tell me your thoughts behind this design. Why did you choose the symbol, font, colors?

I wanted to show connections in a different way. The spokes can represent people connecting in the program. The TEFL font was fun, but still very legible and contrasts with the Institute font. Here's v13

Blue/Green variations
You have given me two really good designs that I like a great deal. They are:
(1) Version 13 - I like the first one with the wheel spokes that are flesh colored tones.
and
(2) Version 14 - I like the first one here with the blue wheel and one spoke that is green.
This is a really tough decision so I have a few questions:
- which one is in four color and which one is in two color?
- which one would look best on white stationary, business cards, envelopes, and brochures?
- which one is best for a website?
- which one in your view is the most distinctive?
Are these RGBY?

The flesh colored one would be four color process. The other is two color.
Personally, I prefer the blue and green one. I think it is going to pop more on paper and on screen. You are going for a youthful approach and these colors have a more youthful appeal.
You will receive RGB files for web and spot color files for printing. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Designers:
Thank you for the various concepts and designs you submitted. Your energy and commitment to design work was exceptional and I feel good about coming to www.designoutpost.com with my future projects.
I have decided to work with Offbeat Designs going forward. The designs they presented were more of a match for my organization. They seemed to tap into the youth oriented international appeal we were seeking.
Again, I want to thank everyone for their help with this project. I look forward to working with Offbeat Designs to finalize my project.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the designs and concepts. I like the green and blue one as well. I am happy to hear that will translate well onto stationary and other items.
This is my choice. Again, thank you for all of your hard work. Our final choice is the blue and green one.
