Admin code added by Abby - 43Y77463YG412234H
I am looking for a new home page and inner template page design for http://implantnewsandviews.com which needs to translate propery to two color print. The final delivery for this project will be:
1. PSD for home page design
2. PSD for inner page template design
3. PSD for two color print of 'logo' (based upon the chosen home page design, and simplified for print)
4. Code for home page (does not have to be XHTML/CSS, but needs to be good)
5. Code for inner page (does not have to be XHTML/CSS, but needs to be good)
Some requirements:
1. The 'logo' consists of the text, tagline and implant image. My client 'likes' the font for the text, I don't. We both agree the implant needs to be updated. The print version of this website requires two color printing (blue and black) therefore the new website has to have a version of the updated logo in this format. Please note that we aren't really looking for logo design, only an update to the style so that it looks better with the new website while being able to be nicely reproduced in the print ad. A sample of the print image is here:
. . https://implantnewsandviews.com/newsletters/jan.feb.2008.front.page.pdf
2. Home page should contain the following elements
. . header with updated text/implant image
. . advertiser graphics going down the right side of the page (see #6 below)
. . highlight the home page with the current month's PDF
. . image of current months PDF home page (can be a different size then what is currently being used)
. . navigation as stated below
. . logon dialog (or a link to the logon page)
. . text about the site and about the editor (with an image of the editor)
. . testimonials (there are three on the current site)
. . list of topics covered (found on current home page)
. . footer with copyright info, links to navigation repeated with sitemap link, contact information
. . trust logo somewhere on the site
. .
3. The inner template page should have a mockup of a form for people to sign up with the same information found here:
. . https://implantnewsandviews.com/subscribe.asp
. .
4. Major Navigation will consist of links for:
. . Home
. . Subscribe
. . Submit Articles
. . Members (can be a logon dialog on this page)
. . Contact the Editor
. . About the Editor
. .
5. Other navigation links that need to be found on the home page include:
. . Testimonials (a link, in addition to the 2-3 found on the home page)
. . Continuing Education
. . Relevant Links
. . Past Articles
. . Upcoming Articles
. . Sample Issue
. .
6. We will be selling advertising space on the site, and will need a place to list graphics vertically, similar to how this is done for one of our newsletters. We like the size of the graphics (unless you can convince us that they should be different) and we like how they are outlined with rounded corners.
. . http://webdentalmarketing.com/shownewsletter.aspx?client=dc&newsletter=-1
. .
7. I will need examples of styles for all ofthe following in the PSD and coded: H1, H2, H3, p, strong, em, links, highlighted text, image ouline, image caption, forms (text box, combo box, buttons)
8. Coding will
. . include styles all styles (and whatever else is normal) for #7 above
. . allow for the site to extend vertically, with more content
. . add more images and links for advertisers
(now for the answers to the standard questions)
(Company Details)
1a) Name of Company
. . Implant News & Views
1b)Company Tag Line or slogan:
. . Keeping you up-to-date on implant dentistry
1c) Do you have a company logo?
. . No
1d) Do you have a corporate visual identity (a customized (non stock) logo and color scheme carried out throughout your office, stationery, business cards, etc.)?
. . Yes, the text in the logo and an image of an implant. It is important that the new design looks similar, but extremely updated. We also need to be able to translate this change to print (2 color, black and blue) as in the example here:
. . . . https://implantnewsandviews.com/newsletters/jan.feb.2008.front.page.pdf
. . . .
1e) What is the nature of your business?: Briefly describe your products or services:
. . We sell a bi-monthly newsletter to implant dentists. The newsletter does not have advertisements, but the website will. The newsletter is written by specialists (different each month) and edited by the owner of this website.
1f) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach with your site?
. . Dentists whom provide implants to their dentists
(Website Details)
1b) Do you have an existing website? If so, what is the URL?
. . http://implantnewsandviews.com/
2b) IMPORTANT: Please list at least 3 URLs (web addresses) of high quality sites that you like the look of (these do not have to be sites who’s business is similar to yours. It aids us in determining what your design style is.) Please consider layout, colors, navigation, graphics, and typography.
. . I know this is important, but the client has not given me any and I don't want to skew the design. We are looking for options.
3b) What colors or color schemes would you like?
. . We like blue. The owner is color blind and generally uses blue and red (to the point where it is too much sometimes)
4b) List the Navigation links for your Site:
. . See above, in my first part of the description.
5b) What type of look are you trying to achieve? (e.g. clean, high-tech, conservative, warm, flashy, etc.)
. . Very clean, extremely professional, medical/dental
6b) Please provide the addresses of competitors' sites, if possible:
. . None that I know of
7b) Do you have any images for use in the design of your site? If not, do you have images, can you offer suggestions of what you type of imagery you feel would be most suitable for your website:
. . I don't have any that need to be used... we like smiles
(Deadlines and Deliverables)
1c) What is the deadline for your template design?
. . I would like it done in two weeks from today, but if extra time is required, then an extra week is okay.
. . I'm setting the deadline at February 1st.
2c) Will you require HTML coding? (Yes/No)
. . Yes
3c) If so, will you require it to be ONLY CSS layout? (Yes/No --- {fees})
. . No
4c) How many pages coded will you require delivered? ({fees})
. . See above. 3 PSDs (home, inner, + two color print of the banner), 2 coded pages
Thank you!
