Please describe your existing audience
Caribbean Vacationers/Tourists & Locals. Moderate to High End price range. Granparents off cruise ships, yacht people, local clientele who i hope to draw in by having special events at the store. Will also carry original, hand painted clothing by a local artist.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I was thinking merkids one male one female maybe place them to form a circle and put the logo in the center
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
just legible font. The store front sign has to be black print on a tan sign to conform but i dont have to use black for anything else
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
girl merkid (mermaid) with a leopard or tiger print tail maybe some pink in there and the boy a camouflage tail. I am REALLY open to suggestions. tourists love the ocean/tropical themes but i feel like its all been done down here so i just wanted to have something that stood out from the standard fish, starfish, iguanas etc.. I was thinking an underwater munchkin land ?!
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? That its Unique and that we have boy and girl clothing.I want to have a few different merkids in the store after the logo is developed. I want to express that my store is for all different kinds of personalities and that its ok to be unique
What is your tagline or slogan?
dont have one
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
I just want to attract all levels of clientele. I want the logo to pull people into the store. I also want to theme the store after the logo
Where will your new logo be used?
the store front, tshirts, business cards, letterhead, misc advertising, web site
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? the store is places among Gucci, BeBe, Louis V., Roberto Coin etc. but no real competition geared specific to kids. Just the average sea creature t-shirts that say St. Thomas on them : )
List competitive URLs if possible
What sets you apart from your competitors?
That my clothing will be Unique, I will have a variety of price ranges and labels
