$100 Prize - Ceredigion Business Centre is essentially a one-stop-shop offering free advice and support to businesses across the County of ‘Ceredigion’ which is in Wales, United Kingdom.

We need a logo that conveys our high standards of professionalism and service and perhaps also conveying business growth or steps to achieve business success.

There are no real corporate colours at present only that the colours need to help portray an image (as discussed above).

The logo must be bi-lingual as in Welsh and English and contain the text in the relative order as below eg.

Canolfan Fusnes CEREDIGION Business Centre

Or

Canolfan Fusnes
Ceredigion
Business Centre

Or

Canolfan Fusnes
CEREDIGION
Business Centre

About the centre
The centre is based in the centre of Aberystwyth just off the main street. Newly refurbished, the building boasts outstanding facilities for supporting Businesses.

Main facilities include, 5 meeting rooms, conference room, IT suite with 7 computers, interactive white board and projector. Video conferencing

The new Ceredigion Business Centre is in a perfect position to deliver comprehensive advice to businesses in Ceredigion, Wales, UK.

There is no website at present (future competition maybe!)

However you may wish to look at the County Council’s websites (we are part of the County Council).

http://www.ceredigion.gov.uk

Any questions please ask. Will check this forum several times a day so post away!

Basically the logo needs to be formal, business like and tranport well into banners, letterheads, website etc.

Provisional closing date is Wednesday 21st October 2003

Eddy

Eddy,

Please take my entry into consideration. I've used green symbolizing growth here, the steps you suggested are evident, and the gradient suggests movement.

Feedback is welcomed.

Thank you,

Julie

Sorry for the delay - had to consult the team.

Firstly a colour update. We ant to focus on combinations of warn terracotta, grey/black and white.

Thanks everyone for the first round of entries

Like the concept but feel it looks a bit dated some how.

Coredesign
Quite like this. Could try similar designs with the colours as above.

 wwwzone - This is our favourite so far. We like the 'C' logo for design 1 with the text of design 2. Or perhaps even a comprimise between the two in terms of the extent the text reaches along the word Ceredigion. Can you have a play please. Also what is the name of the font used?

Huhhso
Looks a bit basic really. Not keen on the font choice.

Eagle
Liked this one but can't help thinking I have seen it or something like it before. Where did you get your inspiration for the C logo?

JulieT
We had a design like this on the table already (in house) but felt it was not quite right for us.

Raja
Thanks for this. Need to steer clear of the picture of a man for various reasons. Perhaps some variations on a theme with some more simbolic or abstract graphics.

Cre8or
Bit too Celtic for the purposes of this logo.

Many thanks for all the entries. On the whole the design by wwwzone if favourite but it is certainly not a closed shop! Hopefully that design will give you more of an indications of what we like :)

Liked this one but can't help thinking I have seen it or something like it before. Where did you get your inspiration for the C logo?
[/b][/quote]
My inspiration was a simple, business-like 'C' with just a hint of the Welsh Dragon - the tongue!. :lol2:

Once I'd posted it though it did kinda look familiar to me too.... After racking my brains for a while I realised it looked fairly similar to the logo for Commodore.

http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&lr...G=Google+Search (http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=commodore+logo&btnG=Google+Search)

Now that you've confirmed my thoughts, choosing this logo may give the business an advantage in that potential customers would feel the logo had a certain 'familiarity' about it. B)

wwwzone

Hi

Could you make a couple of changes for me before I submit it for approval.

We like the text on #4 because the text is darker.
However we like the 'C' section on #6 but with cream instead of white perhaps in places and the main background colour being the terracotta.

Can you then post in in the forum

Thanks

Eddy

Eddy,
thanks for the feedback and please excuse my late reply.

Here are two versions :
#9 - I followed your exact requirements.
#10 - I liked the way it looked without the cream around the C's

Let me know what you think.

Me Again!

The terracotta seems have gone more towards a muddy brown?

Can we look at it more like the colour on design #1

Thanks

In addition to the previous message can you also make the cream section really cream as it seemed to be a bit grey?

Thanks

Sorry for the delay but the cogs move slowly here.

Probably a combination of design 11 and 12 that we will fine tune here

can you please send me the files Ruairi
