I'm looking for a creative and eye catching logo for my new sales team. The team name is "The Newsome Team". I've been running a few things through my head so far and here's what I think would be a great start. I have envisioned a simple house frame with the letter "N" inside. Of course the left wall and left portion of the roof would symbolize the left "T", the "N" inside, and the right wall and roof to symbolize the second "T". You know, TNT. I think that it will probably have to be three different colors to display the symbol. Try a couple of things and let's see your ideas. Get creative and show me what you've got.
TNT
The Newsome Team
This will be a great start. Although this sounds like a simple direction, I'd like to have something somewhat elaborate, yet unmistakable. Classy and tasteful is what I'm looking for. I'll be using this in various print advertising, websites, letterhead, etc..
I've had projects created here in the past and was very pleased. I can't wait to see what everyone can come up with this time. I couldn't remember my user name so I had to create a new one.
There's no definite deadline, but I'd sure like to have it completed asap. I'll end the contest as soon as I get something that really catches my eye. Try to get to work on this one for me. I'm offering $200 to the best design. I'll be checking back often and giving feedback to help.
Thank you,
Stephen

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
TNT
The Newsome Team
What type of product or service do you offer?
Residential and Commercial Real Estate Services
How long have you been in business?
2 years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Establishing my own "Brand" and creating a more visible presence in the marketplace.
What are your long term goals?
Becoming even more well known as the person to come to for real estate services in my area.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
March 1st. I'll extend if necessary until an acceptable design is chosen.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Existing audience is well rooted families and businesses.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Everyone of course! :) People relocating to the Savannah area. Families and especially businesses.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
A logo that is easy to recognize, yet artsy enough to be pleasing. I'm known for "Making a Difference" so I want my logo to set me apart from others.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Once the final design is chosen, I'll need a couple of different colors for different advertising. They can see my current website and company logo at www.stephennewsome.com. No specific colors right now, just colors that look really well together. I'd like to see what designers come up with.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Since it's for a real estate team I feel it should have something that represents our industry. A house shape, etc.. Get creative.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Professional, Customer service oriented, and honest. That's how people describe me.
What is your tagline or slogan?
"Making a Difference"
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A message that my team is a professional group that is here to serve their real estate needs. It should help to create a brand for us that would be recognizable.
Where will your new logo be used?
Ads, newsletters, letterhead, email, internet, basically everywhere! It's going to be used quite a bit so I need it to be great!
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Most competitors working for other companies don't even have a logo. Usually it's only companies. I've seen one on here before for a guy named "Rick Hagler". That's the kind of branding I'd like to see, if not even better.
List competitive URLs if possible
(These are a few of my competitors' websites)
http://www.kimshomes.com/
http://www.corabettthomas.com/
http://www.celiadunnsir.com/
http://www.judgerealtycompany.com/
http://www.jamesdasher.com/
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Customer Service, Reputation, and Honesty
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Determined! Results Driven.
TNT: The most explosive sales team in Savannah!;)

I really like how this project has started off! I can't wait to see where this goes next.
Giant: I like what you've done with this. It's pretty easy to distinguish. I'd like to see some more ideas if you have any. Way to raise the bar right from the start. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Stephen

Giant: I really like version 1 and version 3 very much. Great looking design, clean and easily distinguishable. You're the man to beat at the moment for sure!
Logoholik: Not really the design that I'm looking for at the moment, but it's great work. I'll give a little more direction below and I look forward to seeing more from you.
Freetime: Very creative, but I think it's a bit much for me. I need it to be easily recognized, clean and simple. Please give it another try.
Ideas: I like what Giant has done very much, and he's definitely the one to beat. One thing that may be an idea is to make the "N" very small in the bottom, middle and have it represent a door itself. I was going to mention it before, but I didn't want to mislead anyone because I'm not sure how it would look. The only other thing I can think of is... I would like to see the letters "TNT" actually worked into part of the design instead of inserted inside of it. Kind of a less is more kind of thing. I look forward to seeing some more designs and ideas from you soon.
Thanks,
Stephen

Giant: I like the way the the roof seperates in version 5. Gives me an idea for you to try. Can you try the version 1 "N" without extending the right side up through the top. Just wanting to see if the two sides representing "T" can somehow be portrayed somewhat evenly, similar to how it looks in version 5 if you don't mind. Maybe see how it looks to have the opening directly over the center. It's not my company colors, but I love to see red and black together. Know any more really great looking color combos?
NHR: Thanks for the submission. Not a bad idea but it's not quite the look I'm going for. Maybe it's just too bulky. I'd like to see something else if you have any ideas.
I appreciate all of the submissions. Giant is definitely still the man to beat so bring your A game if you want to beat what he's doing. All minds don't think alike so if any of you have something creative you'd like to show, please feel free to express your ideas. Just keep in mind that it has to be clean looking, easily distinguishable, and classy.
Keep up the great work. The deadline is rapidly approaching!
Thanks,
Stephen

Giant: I don't like the last designs, but I like version 1 and version 3 very much. As of now, I'm trying to give others a chance to compete against you until the deadline.
Deadline: The deadline is in two days so if you want to compete on this logo time is running out. Get creative and make me think out of the box a little if that's what it's going to take. Express yourselves and get creative now that we're in the home stretch.
Thanks,
Stephen
