Hi All,

Please help us achieve our aim of creating a great new logo for a new web startup

www.homestop.com.au (currently in stealth mode)

Please put your best design foot forward.

Cheers

Dean

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
>>homestop

What type of product or service do you offer?
>>Home owners can list their properties for free and home buyers can find properties for sale

How long have you been in business?
>>Startup

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
>>Recognizable Web2.0 Logo for Website

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
>>Mar 14 2008

Please describe your existing audience
>>Tech savvy home owners who want a feature rich free offering to list their property for sale without paying hefty real estate fees.

>>Tech Savvy home buyers who want to find properties for sale

Who would you like to add to your audience?
>>Advertisers and partners who see the potential to advertise and reach their target audience.

>>Tech newbies who have finally found an easy to use, reliable way to sell/buy property themselves

What type of logo would you like?

>>Must be slick, not too serious and has a 'wow' factor (intangible, I know..but that's the best way I can describe it)

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
>>Not at this stage, open to all ideas

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
>>I am open to two approaches:

1. The use of 'home' and 'stop' as key logo ingredients ie stop sign, talk to the hand, houses, properties etc

2. Something more abstract ie cool font, wet look mirror effect (Web2.0ish)etc

or a combination of both

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
>>Slick, easy, fun and valuable

What is your tagline or slogan?
>>"Your place, Your Property"

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
>>This is a fun, cool website with some amazingly easy ways to list and find properties for sale. It is a cut above the traditional FSBO websites and appears very polished and slick

Where will your new logo be used?
>>Website

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
>>There are literally hundreds of FSBO websites. We need to distinguish ourselves from the 'amateur' websites that have 'clipart' logos and branding.

We need a fresh approach to logo creation, that displays our unique offering.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
>>We are different because we offer a slick AJAX based web application with easy to use tools for buyers and sellers to connect for free. (we will use an advertising model to create revenue)

State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Invaluable, easy and free

Hi Skyvee,

Thanks for your submission.

For us, this is a little too predictable ie Stop Sign, Red, House.

Be grateful to see any other ideas you have.

Hi Skyvee,

Version_02 has some potential... Can I have a look with some different fonts, colors and possibly look at including the ".com.au" part also.

Thanks

Thanks Skyvee,

The logo doesn't quite 'grab' me as much as I require.

Any other ideas? Any other designers willing to give it a go?

Thanks

May I ask if you are looking for a more corporate logo or a more "fun" logo?

Hi, Thanks for your question :)

I am not sure 'fun' is the word, probably more 'relaxed' than corporate. if that makes sense. Definitaly not 'clipartish' or 'cartoony'

Interested to see what you can do

Thanks
