Project Summary:
We are creating a new website, Subscription.com. We are looking for a clean and professional logo.
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Subscription.comTM
Magazines, Newspapers, Services & More
As for formatting, our sites customarily carry the .com inline with the rest of the address. The height of the .com should be the same as the rest of the text. Also, a small trademark symbol should be placed just to the right of .com.
What type of product or service do you offer?
The site will offer subscriptions to magazines, local and national newspapers, online services & continuity programs
How long have you been in business?
Three years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want to leverage the “instant brand” that our domain name grants us, as well as convey that our site will be the only place you need to visit to subscribe online.
What are your long term goals?
To continue our site’s growth and popularity
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
March 21, 2008
Audience Profile:
Please describe your audience
People who are searching online for subscriptions or renewals for magazines, newspapers, or other subscriptions & memberships
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We’re looking for something professional that will not look dated in six months. Clean lines and modern styling are good as long as the resulting logo can’t be easily identified as “Web 2.0”-style design.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
The logo and nameplate should be white text on a navy background. Our current idea is to use orange as an accent color. These are just suggestions, and we are open to your creative license.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
We would like the concept of “subscription” to be incorporated into the logo/nameplate, but it should be broad & general in alignment with the wide range of subscription products we offer (i.e. just a magazine or newspaper isn’t quite right)
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
The logo should convey that we are the authority or “one stop shop” for all subscription products on the internet. It should look professional enough to convey trustworthiness to the users.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Magazines, Newspapers, Memberships & More
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
see attributes above
Where will your new logo be used?
The logo will be prominently displayed at the top of every page on our site. At least at this point, the logo is for screen/web only.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
We offer price comparisons of our products from multiple vendors allowing our users to pick the best price and also see competitor’s prices.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
the definitive site for subscribing to all your printed and online subscription and membership services
