What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Paderewski Festival Paso Robles
What type of product or service do you offer?
This is an annual music festival to celebrate the life and contributions of Ignacy Paderewski, a virtuoso pianist, composer, politician, humanitarian, and orator and was one of the most cherished figures of the 20 th century. He purchased land in Paso Robles, California and farmed there for over 25 years. He became a commercial grape grower and is often credited with introducing the zinfandel grape to our area. The festival was launched in 1993 and includes concerts, tours of vineyards, wine tasting and presentations of Polish culture and history to locals and visitors. The festival also includes a Youth Music Competition<
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want to have a “brand” logo that becomes recognizable and synonymous with elegance, culture, music.
The festival also has a Youth Music Competition for young pianists that we want to expand. We want a logo that reflects that classical music can be cool and hip
What are your long term goals
To create an endowment to support scholarships and international study for local music students; attract internationally renowned musicians to perform here in a variety of venues
When is the deadline for final entries? April 15th to share with our executive board of directors
What type of logo would you like?
We’re open to your creative ideas. We want a logo that is simple, elegant; not busy and not cartoonish
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, whyBlack, maroon (burgundy), and gold. Black as the best pianos are that color; maroon as most concert venues have that color in their drapes or upholstery to connote richness and elegance, gold to reflect top quality in performances
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
We’re open to lots of ideas here. Possibly a piano, rolling hills of Paso Robles, vineyards, Paderewski is often noted for his wild, unruly red hair, sort of like vintage Bob Dylan and was the rock star of his generation with groupies. Possibly hands on a keyboard? Perhaps a glass of red wine?
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Passion, elegance, culture, refinement, top quality, international.
Where will your new logo be used?
Letterhead, business cards, signs, website. Each year, we feature a different vintage photograph of Paderewski so this logo would appear near or possibly overlaid on the photo
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? Mozart Festival in San Luis Obispo has a nice logo. Our current logo uses Paderewski’s signature but it is somewhat illegible. We like the logo for the Bach festival in. The logo for the American Music Festival is also nice.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Mozart never lived in San Luis Obispoand Bach never lived in. Paderewski spent a major part of his life in Paso Robles. Some of our old-time residents actually remember meeting Paderewski in Paso Robles. He is an important part of the heritage of our town.
