Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

ASAP Process Services, LLC

What type of product or service do you offer?

We serve legal documents (we're the people you DON'T want to see on your doorstep!)

How long have you been in business?

2 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

I hope to have an innovative design that will set my company apart from all the other process server companies. I want something that is memorable and shows personality. The design should demonstrate that we are a professional company (many process servers run their business out of their homes and are mom and pop situations). I would like to have something that indicates we handle large, nationwide accounts. But I don't want it to be stuffy either...

What are your long term goals?

To have a nationally known organization that is capable of handling large accounts with a personal touch with a rapid turnaround and excellent communication.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

March 21, 2008

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience

Attorneys, Paralegals, Other Process Service Companies

Who would you like to add to your audience?

More of the same - Bigger Fish!

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

Professional with personality

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

Nothing in mind - make me proud!

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Nope, do your thing.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Again, quick, professional, personable, communicative large company with a mom and pop service.

What is your tagline or slogan?

None

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

That we can handle large accounts professionally and quickly with a personal touch.

Where will your new logo be used?

Business cards, stationary, envelopes

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

My biggest competitors are HCTJ (locally); Provest (Statewide); Caplan, Caplan and Caplan (Nationwide)

I think we can do much better...

List competitive URLs if possible

HCTJ: http://www.hctjudge.com/index.htm

Provest: http://www.provest.us/index.asp

Caplan, Caplan and Caplan: http://www.caplanandcaplan.com/default.htm

What sets you apart from your competitors?

Personalized service, quick turnaround of jobs and communication.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Expeditious, Personalized, Professional Service for every client - big or small

Hello. v1

Thanks Freetime...v1: Colors are good. Would like to see maybe something that indicates "Quick", maybe someone running with papers rather than the papers in the file by themselves. Not crazy about the font. Great starting point though.

Freetime, thank you! Is there any way to tweak the ASAP to make it look "fast" and give it some movement?

Wow! Freetime: V3: Can we get the "process services, LLC" a little bigger, not much, because it feels like it's getting lost. In regards to "movement" of the letters, is there a way to have "trails" after (or before) the letters to make them seem like their moving rapidly? Not sure how to explain it...djaka v1 has it.

mlsanger
03-26-2008, 06:22 AM
djaka: v1: I love the movement of the letters. Is there any way to incorporate a figure(s) running with papers? Maybe thinner letters? They seem a little bulky. v2: I think it looks nice but it isn't grabbing me. I do like the idea of having someone running with papers.

giant: Thanks for the post. It seems a little plain for what we're looking for. Color is nice though.

We are now allowed to borrow concepts from other designers.

Freetime: Thanks, I did not mean borrow from the other designers. I had posted a thread to you earlier: Freetime, thank you! Is there any way to tweak the ASAP to make it look "fast" and give it some movement?
I was just illustrating that I was looking for that type of movement to the letters. Is it possible to add the movement to the word ASAP or now djaka is the only one that can do it? Doesn't have to be the same, but that is on the right track to what I had asked for. Thank!

PS: I think the moderator should take a look of this request (adding running figure(s) with a document) :D

djaka: v1a: That is much better. Still too plain without some type of person, figure, etc...running. Thanks.

My ruling on this is the running figure will have to stay with Freetime since he was the first to pick up on the idea but Djaka this doesn't mean you can not use other images of body parts moving (if you get my hint). The lots of long lines concept will stay with Djaka.

Thank you

Freetime: v3.2: Can you flip flop the white on the letters?

freetime
03-26-2008, 01:46 PM
I honestly wish I could. I just wouldn't feel right stepping on djaka's toes. The only way I could feel right about doing so, would be for djaka to give his ok.

djaka

Thank you djaka: v3/v4: I like that the letters are not thick, I love the movement in the letters, but the folder is not standing out to me. Any other items?
