We are looking for a logo for a new company, DaySpring Life Options, in the health and wellness industry. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

We would like something simple, warm and elegant that would be striking enough to contribute to branding.

Our goal is to attract college graduates as well as, baby boomers.

A few months – we are a new business.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Through education, we aspire to influence our clients to pursue optimum health by adopting healthy lifestyles.

What are your long term goals?
Branding and building an online presence.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
March 31st.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience –
Anyone with a passion for regaining or maintaining his/her health through perseverance and natural avenues.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Every adult with a lifestyle disease.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Perhaps one that incorporates an icon—We are really open to accept many variables here.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
We want colors that signify vibrant life and movement, preferably Green, Blue and yellow.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
The sun and water, perhaps. Symbols from nature. Something based on the meaning of the company name. DaySpring means the beginning of the day, the dawn, daybreak. Life is all about choice – our choices determine the results we experience.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Opportunity, hope, life, change.

What is your tagline or slogan?
Building Healthy Lives…One Mind at a Time

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
We want our target audience to understand and acknowledge that physical change – health and well-being – begins in the mind, then is manifested in the body.

Where will your new logo be used?
It will be used on our website, stationary, apparel, merchandise, advertisements, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Other health and wellness companies, some of which have logos we like as well as dislike.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Our connection of the mind and body is not only present in our talk (marketing), but also demonstrated and incorporated in our walk (products and services).

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Thank you squarelogo. This is a pretty design. I would like to see blue incorporated, and with a more wholistic look for the entire design, that is, words and illustration somehow woven together.

Freetime, thank you for your beautiful designs. So far, version 2 comes closest to the feeling we're looking for. Could you please use a slightly more vibrant green?

Also, could you try designing around the 1st letter or 2, and maybe instead of the flower use a mountain or 2, with the sun peeking out and some water somewhere toward the bottom or flowing between?

Thank you, Freetime, for incorporating our suggestions. We like the font and the word design in version 5 but the mountains are hard for us to distinguish.

The concept in version 2 is still closest to what we are looking for. Can you incorporate the mountains in the vibrant green in place of the flower, with a small sun rising between them. And maybe a small trickling of water flowing down from the point between the mountains?

Also, we would like the full company name even with the inclusion of the tag line. In your versions, would you please show us one with the tag line and the same one without it?

Beautiful work, Freetime. Thank you. Can we see versions #6, and #7 without the tag line? They seem a bit crowded with it. Or could you make the sideways oval arch a bit wider in version 6?

Freetime. In versions #6.1, #7, and #7.1 could the green in "Life Options" be even more vibrant? It seems lost among the lovely blue.

In version 6, could we see the tag line be outside of the arc?

Freetime, thanks again. These designs are ablsolutely fantastic. We're very sorry to have to ask for one more tiny adjustment. We meant to put it in the last request. Could you please put some rays from the sun in the designs in version 6.4?

Making a decision will be tough, but weI'll have one by the end of the day, Sunday, March 30, 2008.

Hi Freetime,

Thanks for all your hard work and wonderful design elements in the development of our logo.

The team has came to a decision.

We want version 6.5 (B) with the font from version 7.4. It's OK if you need to move the sun over to the right to accommodate the top of the "S". We like that less of the sun is visible, making it appear more like the beginning of a new day. We also preferred the symmetry of the arc.

Also, please make the green in "Life Options" brighter to stand out alongside the vibrancy of the beautiful blue you used.

Here are those revision. I had to shrink the "S" just a bit to fit the symmetrical arc.

The difference between the too versions is the D is bigger in the second.

This is about as bright of green I can get.
