Hi there,

I'm looking for a logo for our standard software solution, DocCenter Pro, being an XML based Content Management system.

Project Summary:

What text should/could be included in the main part of the logo?
I would like to see examples of logos both with and without the company name in it. The company name is DocCenter Pro

What type of product or service do you offer?
We offer a standard software solution to companies. DocCenter Pro is a collaborative solution for working with XML structured content for creating i.e. technical documentation in manufacturing companies. It would be really great, if the logo illustrates this structured method of working with content.

How long have you been in business
10+ years but the DocCenter Pro solution is new.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want to avoid looking very technical. We want to signal an collaborative approach to working with structured content with focus on the people who participates in the process.
We are working B-to-B

What are your long term goals?
To establish a market leading niche product in the structured content management industry.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
We hope to be at the revision-stage on Monday, April 7th.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Content Managers, editors, reviewers and translators

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
A non technical logo signaling collaboration and simplicity

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)<o:p></o:p>
No preferred colors.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
The logo should illustrate process and structure, movement towards a goal. Maybe something with small parts coming together.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
None technical

What is your tagline or slogan?
We don’t have a tagline

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Complexity made easy by putting people and not technicalities at the center

Where will your new logo be used?
On our website, business cards, correspondance, PR, ...

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
http://doczone.com/ (http://doczone.com/)<o:p></o:p>
http://www.livetechdocs.com/ (http://www.livetechdocs.com/)<o:p></o:p>
I think the logos lacks a recognizable characteristic and are to depended on the name<o:p></o:p>
The also lack the process signal

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Focus on the people and process and strong automatic configuration capabilities

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Automated content building for people

Hi Blesseville,

I like your suggestion in post number 3 but will like to see it with a font more like the suggestion in post number 14.

Can you please do that?

/Pau

Sure..Here it is :). I need to add that DO rules does not permit using the same font which is previously submitted by a fellow designer.

Blesseville, can you try to give the text some color - maybe only the "PRO" part? Thanks!

In general we want your logo but we need to get the text right and we are not yet happy with that part.

Hi Paul,

Have you decided to work exclusively with Blesseville? If so, I can move this to Revisions where you can continue to work on the fine details. Otherwise, it will be left in the logo forum open to all designers.

Just let me know.

Thanks!:)

Hi,

I have decided to work with Blesseville.

Blesseville - please redo the third suggestion in post 18 with the PRO text colors of the first suggestion in post 18 (red, blue, green).

I think that could be the final version - lets see it :-)
