Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? BabyFryd.dk ("Fryd" means "joy" in danish, so together its "BabyJoy")
What type of product or service do you offer? We sell children's clothes on the Internet.
How long have you been in business? 3 years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? Recognizable logo for use on Internet banners ect.
What are your long term goals? To be a company known for it's good service and high quality products.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? April 20th.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience: Women between 20 and 40 years
Who would you like to add to your audience? More of the same!
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? Recognizable. With some sort of graphic. Not flashy. No baby- or child-look. Stylish. Should fit to our new site – see project under template project forum (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15987). In Danish the flower Daisy is called "tusind-Fryd" (a thousand joys) Maybe the Daisy could be part of the logo? But we don't like yellow, so it has to be in another colour.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?): That's up to you...
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? Maybe the daisyflower?
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Stylish, design, high quality.
What is your tagline or slogan? We don't have any.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? Buy upper mid-end childrens clothes at BabyFryd.dk. Good quality. good service.
Where will your new logo be used? Onour website, in our newsletters (e-mails) and on Internet banners.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
http://www.houseofkids.dk (http://www.houseofkids.dk) (nice logo if used together with the background and recognizable on the Internet)
http://www.prinsessebutikken.dk (http://www.prinsessebutikken.dk) (not a good logo)
http://www.funkylittlemonkye.dk (http://www.funkylittlemonkye.dk)(not a good logo)
List competitive URLs if possible
See above...
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Have good pictures of our products.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Easy to use site.<o:p></o:p>
Simple designed site.<o:p></o:p>
Current logo is not easy recognizable on banners.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: A joy…
Logos we like:

Hi Kekepania
Nice suggestions - thanks :D
I like the one under post #3 the best.
- Would it be possible to try with some other fonts?
- Could we try with the "b" and "f" as capital letters (BabyFryd.dk) - that way it will be easier to read for danish consumers.
- I actually like the blue color you have chosen, but could you also make an example with a purple color?
Kind regards,
Mikael

Hi Tini1
Thanks for your suggestions...looks very nice!
I especially like your suggestion from thread #7 but I think it would be better to remove the little head inside the flower. I think it will make the logo look more stylish.
Could we try to use only black color for the text?
Kind regards,
Mikael

Hi Tini1
That was quick!
Until now the #3 and #9 posts are my favourites...
In general, I have to say, that I'm very impressed by the skills shown
Does anyone have a suggestion without a flower?
Regards, Mikael

Hi Kekepania
It was post #3 (your design #2) we liked the most, and not your design #3. Sorry, if our feedback was a bit unclear
We think that your logo is very good, but think that it might be problematic to use in banners with big width, because it is a bit high compared to the width. Would it be possible to attach the card to the side of the text in stead of below the text?
We like font from post #3 (your design #2) but maybe with capital B and F.
Your suggestion without the flower, is not quite our style :)
Regards, Mikael

Hi Kekepania
Now we're getting there :D
We like suggestion #7 version a (post #16)
A last change; Would it be possible to move the card to he right side of the text?

Hi Kekepania
Looks very nice...The last suggestion with blue color is the best, but we might want to have the card pointing downwards, like in your first example. We'll have to think it over a little...
But otherwise I think that we have reached a good solution.
We'll wait some, to see if something else comes along ;)
Kind regards,
Mikael

Hi Quetizo
Your entry looks very nice but is not quite the style we're looking for - we would like it to be more "Stylish"
But thanks for the effort!

Hi Deanna
Thanks for your input - we especially like the font you are using.
The circles however, are used by some of our competitors almost like in your suggestion.

Hi all :)
Once again, we can see that you have put a lot of effort into your work...
...but unfortuntely the suggestions are not quite what we are looking for.
So we’ve tried to narrow down what we’re looking for:
We are very impressed by most of the suggestions in this forum:
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16007
...and this is one of our favourites:
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=323714&postcount=10
We like the idea of having an elegant abstract drawing – like for instance the rose shown above.
And would it be possible to have a unique homemade font for one or some of the letters (For instance "B", "F" or "y") – that way we will have a unique appearance.
Or maybe some sort of monogram like in these examples:
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=323876&postcount=4
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=324296&postcount=4
We hope that you will help us with some more sugestions - we appreciate your hard work :)
Kind regards, Mikael & Anja

Hi Pracus
Thanks for your input - it looks great!!!!
Could we try to change the colors?
Example 1:
- "BabyFryd" in black
- The rest as it is
Example 2:
- "BabyFryd" in black
- The symbol and ".dk" in purple...
Thanks
Kind regards,
Mikael

04-17-2008, 12:55 PM
Hi all!
Thanks for all your inputs - very very nice :)
We have chosen two that are our favourites:
- Post no. 35 (Pracus):
The flower is great! But we fear a little that it might be too "thin" if we use it in a small banner or such. Could you try to make it a little more bold (thicker lines)?
We are not so happy about the "B" in BabyFryd. Can you suggest another font for the B (or maybe another font for the whole word)?
Do you have a suggestion for placing the flower behind the text or maybe just take a section of it - that way we will have a better opportunity of using it in a banner even though it is thin.
- Post no. 40 (Kekepania)
The monogram is also very nice! We might like a more special font. If we, at some time in the future, decide to discard the monogram, we would like, that the font in our logo can be used again. Therefore it should be easily recognizable as "our font"! Do you have a suggestion other than the ones you have allready used?
But overall, the two suggestion are very nice, and it's likely that we will choose one of them as our new logo.
Again, thanks for your great effort
Kind regards,
Anja & Mikael
