Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
HealthySinging.com in Green (Pantone secondary green realm) in Georgia Italic, (not sure about bold - please advise), with the .com a smaller font size (If the HealthySinging were a 20, the .com would be a 14.) Green is health, prosperity, “go”, heart chakra and nature. If the designer has a brilliant alternative choice, I’m open.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? Yes, I would love a lightly washed, pastel rainbow background, not the traditional rainbow shape, just a softly graded wash, with the colors fading into each other at a soft angle. Colors including lilac; soft yellow, pink; periwinkle blue, mint green, etc.; soft/smudgy/not definite outline -- unless the designer has a more creative idea -- I’m certainly open to suggestions.

In addition to your normal files, I would like the final project to have a separate file for the name and a separate file for the background.

This will be used on both print (business cards, seminar materials, etc.) and website.
Here's the Questionnaire:
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
HealthySinging.com

What type of product or service do you offer?
Singing lessons to beginners and teachers; I am in the process of creating DVDs, Ebooks, Printed Books, Seminars, Workshops, etc.

How long have you been in business? Over 35 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Brand myself for music education products, focus on voice and singing

What are your long term goals?
To launch my own line of voice instructional products; seminars; and related items.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Friday 4/11/08

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience Sweet Adelines (mature singing performing women); and musical theatre performers and students

Who would you like to add to your audience? This is a big audience… I would like to reach more of it…

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Clean, clear recognizable with a gentle art flavor

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Yes, I like “HealthySinging.com” in Green (Pantone secondary green realm) HealthySinging.com in Georgia Italic, (not sure about bold), with the .com a smaller font size (If the HealthySinging were a 20, the .com would be a 14.) Green is health, prosperity, “go”, heart chakra and nature. My research found that Georgia is one of the fonts that reads well on both print and web designs. If the designer has a brilliant alternative choice, I’m open.

I will be adding a various secondary lines for product descriptions as they are produced. (I don’t know if this means another logo, or is something I can add. I haven’t developed those titles yet.)

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Health, creativity, credibility, reliability, artistry, friendly, approachable, safe, they’ll be able to improve and get results.

What is your tagline or slogan? We make learning singing fun! It’s effective. The technique tools to get your voice in shape! Tune your technique skills to you!! (These are preliminary.)

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That this is a great way to learn and solidify your singing technique. That I am credible, the methods are healthy, fun, well rounded, accessible and get successful results.

Where will your new logo be used? On the DVDs, courses, E books, business cards, perhaps promotional items; website and blog, ebooks. Both print and web.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Most of the logos I have seen are too dark, too hyped and too American Idol “in your face.” Learning to sing can be quite scary. They need to feel this will be a safe, learning environment that won’t over power them, one that they can expand into free and expressive performing. This is an educational company, aimed at musical, arty women singers.

List competitive URLs if possible I don’t really care about them.

What sets you apart from your competitors? I am EXCELLENT at what I do. I have an ability to break the foundation into easy to understand concepts, then really know how to trouble shoot to “customize” the technique for the individual. We are not about American Idol packaging -- we’re after solid, healthy foundations that will help your voice last a lifetime. We make it fun, address different learning modalities and help the singer learn to develop the awareness to know their voice, not just have it run them.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

We love to teach!

Couple of things:

I used a font w/ a little more flair than Georgia, but it can be changed to Georgia if desired.

Also, the rainbow effects mimic (but don't use) transparency; it doesn't translate very well to b/w.

Thank you for the speedy reply!

Forgive me, I'm not sure what transparency means.

I'm most interested in the color. I will rarely use the black and white, and would rather not be limited by that for the color logo. In black and white, just the words will be fine or see below.

My vision is to have the colors be full spectrum pastel as the complete background with the words superimposed on top. I see the central curve (slight) of the colors arcing down from the top right to the bottom left, like gentle, soothing sound waves.

I would like to be able to extend and use the rainbow background on the cover of DVD cases, etc. as well as in the logo. The painted brush strokes don't really have much to do with singing, while a rainbow of colors underneath the singing does (inspiration, expression, etc.)

The only thing I can think of for the B & W letters would something like:
Healthy &inging.com
I do like the brigher green for the letters and the .com on the same line.

Thank you so much! :D

I look forward to the next revision!

This is getting closer! I like how the first set of colors fade into each other softly. Even though there has to be a black and white logo, it can just be the text. I really want the colors through the entire background of the logo. Could you put them on an arc, on more of an angle, with the edges more smudged/faded/not distinct? My vision is to have the pastel versions of the colors of the rainbow in rainbow order. The bright green text would go on top of that.

I'm really liking:
Healthy&inging. com
for the text on one line, in bright green.

I look forward to your next submission!

Appreciatively,

I can't really put the text on top of the rainbow with bright green text... it won't be readable at all...

here's a couple more...
Hello!

I really like the colors and blending of the rainbow in the non-shadowed box. Can you soften the edges, so it's not so defined? or possibly have it arc down on an angle from the top right to the top left? The "&" was supposed to be a musical treble clef. If that doesn't work, I'm fine with just HealthySinging.com in the Georgia font, more as in the second example..

v5 incorporating the elements you listed in the soft soundwave shape. The "rainbow" is a sheet music "grid" (don't know the terminology, but the five lined 'background' the notes lie on)

Greetings All!

I LOVE the COLORS in Kekepania's Version #5, and the WRITING in J.Johnson's Version #5, perhaps a slightly darker green, but vibrant as you have it. The arcing staff like banner shape is interesting -- Is there anyway to get these in one package?

Can you clarify for us: are you wanting my version 5 with Kekepania's rainbow colors from her version 5?

Howdy,

Yes, indeedy. The colors can be up and down as they are in Kekepania's design so the full specturm is there, and in your wavy pattern...

THANK YOU!!

OK, if that is your final decision, I will talk to Stephanie and see if we can work that out.

Just checking in... I'm leaving for Atlanta Wednesday night and would love to get some new business cards with new logo!

Please let me know where you are... Friday would have been perfect. Thank you for your efforts!

Since I haven't heard from you on Friday as you said, I need to cancel this order. I needed the logo to make for business cards for an out of town trip leaving on Wednesday. Even if you do get me the logo tomorrow, I will not have time to do the cards before I leave, which was the whole point of the design. I've had to hire someone close to get me something to take at last minute rates.

I'm very disappointed.
