Hi Designers-

We're are looking to have a postcard designed for mailing to potential investors for our commercial real estate services.

As far as colors go, I'd like things to compliment our logo and our previously designed pieces (attached). I will also share a lighbox I've created at iStock with images we liked. Note* You don't have to use any of these if you have a better idea. I just wanted to show you some things I liked the look of.

Ideally, the postcard needs to have an image with impact that conveys how we help real estate investors find ideal properties for their individual objectives.

The layout/text should be something like this:

Postcard front:
Eye-catching graphic
Phone number - (866) 661-1031
Website - www.TradeUp1031.com

Postcard back/text:
Header:
Why more investors choose Trade Up 1031, Inc.

Body:
See More Deals
Access to more investment offerings through our relationships with over 60 Tenant-In-Common (TIC) sponsors

Pick the Best
In-house due diligence analyst to examine property reports and
projections with you

Invest with confidence
Call or log on to read all about our trademark
"Six-Steps to TIC Success" program

A big block that says:

Please call
Josh Slaybaugh
(866) 661-1031

There is also a disclosure paragraph that needs to go on the card. It can be in a smaller font than the other text and can go along the bottom somewhere. It should read:

Securities Offered Through Direct Capital Securities, Inc.
1250 S. Capital Of Texas Hwy, Bldg. 1, Ste 410
Austin, TX 78746 (512) 684-8800
Member FINRA * SIPC

Here is a link to download the template from the printer to help you with dimensions, etc.: http://www.printplace.com/templates/Postcards/6x8_Postcards_Landscape.zip

I will add another post with samples of some of our past marketing pieces very soon. Except for the TU1031 logo, the other images I've attached can be incorporated in a small size on the back. They are just industry associations. Thanks!

looks like I have to email anyone the iStock lightbox I put together in order for them to have access to it. let me know if you are interested.

**Please, keep in mind, a lot of these images in the lightbox are geared towards residential house hunters which is NOT what we do. My firm strictly works with commercial investment properties (office buildings, retail strip centers, apartment buildings, etc.). If you can find more appropriate images that would make me happy. These are a good indicator conceptually though...

Kekepania-

I like the image on the back and the layout, but I don't think there is enough contrast between the text boxes and text colors in general.

As far as the front goes, I like the simplicity. It shouldn't be too busy. However, the handshake is a little to cliche in financial services and real estate (we have one on our home page i know;)). Did you have any other image ideas for the front?

How about this? If you have any specific images you would like to see in that spot, let me know. :)

Jeff-

Here we go...

The front is too generic. I think we may need some words. I've used another tagline with previous postcards that says, "Real Estate Investing Is All About Dollars...And Sense." Feel free to use this or repeat the three sub-headings from the back of the card. The repetition may be good from a marketing standpoint.
Also, the picture will need to be replaced. The high-rise condos aren't typical of what we work with. Think really nice apartment building, retail strip center, or office tower. I'd also be ok with a more abstract image that conveys a sense of looking for and then finding something (particularly a perfect investment property.

The back looks really professional. I like it a lot. My only critique is the cloud. Can you try some other way to set that text off?

Thanks for the entry!

jeff-

the back is great.

the front looks a lot better. i really ike the multi-colored bars on the top & bottom. however, the image doesn't do anything for me. it's better than the first try, but it has no emotion. i'm looking for something more compelling.

please PM me your email address so I can send you access to an istockphoto lightbox. there are at least 20 images that will give you some direction on what i'm looking for.

Hi Josh,

While the project is ongoing, it's prohibited for designers and clients to communicate privately.

You can post a link to the lightbox, however, so that all designers have access to it.

i have not figured out a way to do that yet. as far as i can tell, i can only go into my iStock account, into my lightboxes, into manage lightboxes, then email it.

if you know another way. please let me know. it would be much easier to just post it instead of sending it individually.

thanks!

Here's the info from iStock:

What is a Lightbox and how does it work?

The personal lightbox is like a storage area for images you’re interested in. You may create numerous lightboxes based on your projects or topics. We also offer a feature that allows you to email a lightbox to clients. To add images to your lightbox, click on ‘Add to a Lightbox’ under ‘File Tools’ and follow the steps. Or, if you’re viewing thumbnails, click on the tablet icon under the image and follow the steps. The public lightbox is how you feature a collection of images to the community. You must have images from more than one artist and over 20 images in the lightbox before it may be made public. To edit lightboxes, click on the ‘Manage’ link at the bottom of the list of your lightboxes. Once there, you may make the lightbox public if it’s eligible, edit the content or description and delete or email any lightbox.

Jeff-

You win.

I do have some addt'l revisions I'd like to v3-2.
Please add the word "TIC" on front & back in the line "Why more TIC investors choose Trade Up 1031." Also, increase font size or try bolding this text on the front. Please change bottom to no fill/white background and use our color logo.

On the back, right justify the body text and increase font size 1-2pts or figure out another way to make it stand out.

The order of the association logos should be: TICA, Direct Cap, SIPC.

After I see these changes, I'll let you know if there is anything else.

Thanks!

Jeff-

Can you increase the font size on "TIC" to match "Why" and make all the text stand out more? I feel like there is a lot of empty space and it's a little out of balance. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Also, on the back in the disclosure can you change the asterisk to a small centered dot?

Thanks!
