Alright, I need some help. I need a logo for my lawn service business. Business name is " Burnham Lawn Service", I know kinda boring but it is my name. You can look at my website at www.burnhamlawns.com and look at what I currently have. I need to spice it up a little so I am here for your help. The Prize is $75.00 good luck..
Tim
I'm new here and this is my very first post! (do I get a free toaster with that! :D)
Anyway, looks like I'm the first to get the ball rolling on this one, so here's my first attempt.
Welcome Mark!
Here's your toaster!

Mark & all,
I would like to see some trees, grass etc. I have a new lawn trailer I purchased last week. It is canary yellow. I am open to color changes to, I can edit my website to adjust for color. I only pu that out there to give you an idea in regards to me.
One other issue, the completion date for this is October 21st.
Do I need to up the ante to get a better response or am I being impatient?

pennyln,
I like... What else could we use than the butterfly? Not that I don't like it, it just doesn't fit my personality. The guys would never let me live it down.

Tim,
Just a suggestion but feel free to skim the closed & archived contests for logo ideas. There have been lots of landscaping contests so there are plenty of quality designs that remain unpurchased.

Hello :) ,
Here is my first post :D I tried to emphasize your name, and also to let people know of your main activities. With your permission, I added the telephonw number (for the trailer version) so that everybody would know where to find you. For the website, I can place the address there. Anyway, if you want that part free of numbers&addresses, they can easily be removed.
Best regards :)
Gilles.

Okay,
Here's another idea. I have been throwing around the idea of changing my business name to " Burnham Lawns" like my website address. Is there anyway you guys & gals could modify a few of the ones you have done to that? I think it's shorter and sounds a little more commercial..
What do you all think?

I was just about to send in this new logo when I noticed the name change. Good thing though, it looks much better.
pennyln, thanks for the toaster!

Gilles,
Could you put a little more dark green in the top of the tree to give more detail?
Man, you all got it going on... My wife and I are haveing a tough time with this. They all look sooooooo good. :D
Mark, I like the creative design with the mower in the middle.

Gilles,
Not to sound too picky but do you have a traditional oak tree or something? also I would like to add leaf removal somewhere on there, ya know you could remove the "hand weeding" and that would give you room for that..
So what do you think ?

Hello :D ,
Here's a revision of my design. I've replaced the grass from the tree with two oak leaves, I've replaced also the tree and the text as you want it. Hope it is "oakley" :) enough...I think now it can inform people of your activities better. Let me know if I can change something else for you.
Best regards,
Gilles. :)
Here's the change you requested.

Gilles,
I really like this format from you prior posting. Is there anyway we could get it closer to this. With the large square center piece then the "lawns" at the bottom?
Oh I like the tree in this one too..

Hello Tim,
Here are my changes..Unfortunately, I cannot use the tree you liked so much because I have already used that tree in a previous contest - and my design won. But I've replaced it with another tree, and I think this one is "syme-tree-cal" ;) too. I've tried to change the concept a little bit, 'cause the design with the rectangle and circle won another contest...Hope you like this one as well, I think it speaks about the main activities of your company.
Best regards,
Gilles.

That is smokin..... So, how do you transfer all of this? Do you send it in jpg, pdf,gif etc. ? Just curious. I saw that you illistrated it on multiple things on your last posting. Could you do that for me? I would like to show my wife the logo with the t-shirts, business cards, letter head etc.
Thanks
Tim

Tim,
I can transfer it as cdr(Corel) - you can resize it without losing quality and EPS - also, you can import it in the main graphic programs, resize it as you desire also without losing quality. I will put the requested files within half an hour. :)
Best regards,
Gilles. :)

I'll take care of that part, you've already paid so I just transfer the money to Gilles. The two of you can work out the details of transferring the various files you may need.
Congrats Gilles
Thanks a lot Tim, glad we could help :)
