Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

I am looking for a set of three graphics that can be used interchangeably above my business name (ann beck photography) and my tagline (peace, love & pictures) I currently use Geosans light with extra wide kerning as the font in my logo and like it, would be happy to keep the same font but am also open to similar fonts with thin, clean lines. ALL lowercase please!!

new, fresh look.. more fun & fanciful without being cutesy or cheesy

Please describe your existing audience

young parents (mid 30s), well educated, mostly moms, shop at mini boden and hannah anderson and pottery barn.. want the best for their kids.. buy kids stuff that is classic and slightly grown up but with a fresh, childlike feel. (very much like the pottery barn kids collections)

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

I am specifically looking for a graphic represenation of the tagline.. peace sign, heart, and then either a little rectangle "picture" (blank on the inside, but maybe with photo corners or scalloped edges like an old photo album) or a camera, but I'm afraid that might get a little cutesy.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

I would like the peace sign turquoise, the heart red, and the camera I don't know, in my head I see maybe orange or yellow? Something that flows well with the other too.. don't want a rainbow look. I think I would like a thin black outline on the images but I am open to designs without the outline to see how it looks. I like the look of the drawing in post #6 in this contest http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16095

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Ideally I would also love to see options with a graduation cap, baby bottle, and breast cancer ribbon in place of the picture graphic to be used for other lines of photography (i.e. peace, love & class of 2008 for senior pictures, peace, love & moms for charity work I do for women with breast cancer, etc.)Just to clarify, though, those are not expected with this assignment, right now I just need the first set but just keep in mind that I am looking for some flexibility when designing the original. It is something I would love to talk to the winner about doing as an additional job once this part is complete.

Those are great! Exactly along the lines I was thinking... can I see it with the blue a little lighter.. more aqua than teal.. and the pink more a true red? Also, can we add a little box to the top of the camera, a few people I showed it to didn't immediately identify it as a camera, but I think the little square thingy that used to be on the top, either a button or a flash, something small but just a little more literal. Thanks!

And of course, I'm always open to more suggestions if anyone else wants to post a version! Thanks!!

Blue Cherry, thanks for the submission... however it's not really the colors or the thin, clean look I was going for.

Kekepania, that version looks great! I think the blue is still a little too bright, and actually the yellow too, I'd really like something a little more buttery. I'm attaching an example closer to the colors I think I'd like, but if you want to adjust from these a little that's fine too, just more in this family.

Also can I see it with just "ann beck photography" OR "peace love & pictures" underneath, not both? The font will need to be smaller and ideally some wide kerning.

Also, any chance you could try a photo instead of the camera? Just the same rectangle as the camera, but with triangles for photo corners on it? Something like that? Thanks so much!!

Kekpania, thanks for the last try. I think you were right about the camera working better.. the photo corner idea looked much better in my head! :) I do like those colors a lot better though. Not really fond of the font but I'm really mostly just looking for the graphics with this contest so I'm not concerned about that part. Thanks!

Thanks for the try, Kogar.. I think the lines are a little too thick and cartoonish for what I was looking for.

I'd like to go ahead and say Kekepania is the winner.. I just want to adjust one of the colors and the text layout but I really love the design. I just can't think of how anyone could do it better! Thanks! :)

Kekepania, if we could just change the red to something a little brighter, like D0000F or something in that family, the red I gave you just looks a little darker than I had thought it would be. And on the text, could you write "ann beck photography" all on one line, still with the added kerning like your last version, but still keep it as close as possible to the same width as the graphics. And then can I have a version with the name and the tagline underneath, but maybe in a simple script, something similar in weight and not overly flowy or fancy. Thank you so much, I am really excited!

I'm not crazy about the script font, but everything else is perfect. I can just take a version with my name and a version of just the graphic, I will work on the script part later on my own.
