Our new name for the logo is...

INVERSION

It means: A reversal of position, to turn

Our slogan is: Turning a Generation of Teenagers to Jesus

I'm looking for creative and inovative ideas. But it needs to be user friendly enough that I can print shirts, flyers, posters, vinyal signs, ect... in both color and black/white.

The logo needs to speak to teenagers so let loose...

The dead line is Nov, 20th, 2003

 I like what I'm seeing... This is my feed back on the work each of you have done so far. To get rid of some of the bussiness lets drop the slogan, I want to focus your energy and creative ideas on the goal of visually defining "Inversion" so that when you read the word you "see" its definition. Also, it is not neccessary to incorperate a cross. These elements of the slogan and the cross come across whenever we make a presentation.

Keep up the great work each of you have shown.

Lets push the creative boundries for that one inovative idea that takes a word and makes it a cultural identity.

I like this name and your expectation. While I drive, or, maybe in the shower, something will come to me for this.

:D Things are taking shape, as each of you has invested your time and energy let me first say, thank you. Your unique "eye" and support of one another is a very cool thing to watch and participate in. As for the design development, continue to keep your focus on visually defining the word "Inversion". The goal will be for teenagers to know who and what, without being told.

Here's a couple of font variations for this one. Also I added a question mark in the graphic on the second one.

Here is an ambigram, it reads the same even upside down...could work good as a graphic on a tee shirt, accompanied with some sort of type.

PS: in my earlier post above this(based on popular illusion) stare at the black graphic for approximately 30 seconds, then, close your eyes. Someone will slowly appear.

:D I really would hate to waste everyones talent and energy on this project, when I feel that the work Mark Beaudry did captured what I was looking for. I could not find anything within the help pages about what to do when your satisfied with a design yet time remains on the contest award. I just want to be gracious to your time and creative energy. :) :) :)

It's not a problem if you want to end it early. I think everyone who wanted to enter has done so. I'm assuming you would like to do that and declare Mark Beaudry the winner? Let me know and I'lll send him the money and he can send you the files.

Thanks Reverend Kilborn

I, first of all want to thank everyone that participated in this particular design project. Each of you has such a unique eye and design perspective that the creative flare generated on this website is just awesome. I wish all of you the very best on your career and future design ideas. Each of you has the potential of creating those timeless images that visually defines a word for generations, and I look forward to working with you all again sometime. "I have told all my friends about you".
As for this contest, Mark Beaudy captured what I was looking for in his final draft in red and black. So I declare him winner!   I was looking for a design that would say Inversion without the word and he pulled it off. He was able to make just the right re-visions while holding to the integrity of his original design concept. So... many pats on the back for your creativness and intuitivness  .

Thank you very much Reverend Kilborn! I had a blast designing it. I guess my daughter's participation in her church's youth group must have influenced me! It's a great feeling to create something that makes people happy. :)

And you're right, everyone here is truly gifted and I'm truly thankful for being given the opportunity to be a part of this great group of artists. :)
