Hello. Our firm, 1st TPA, Inc. is 4 years old and we are disatisfied with our current logo. It was something that was thrown together at the last minute and never changed.

We are a benefits administration company.

We would like the new logo to be professional and corporate-like. Please take license with color. Currently, our letterhead paper is a soft cream color with a navy blue logo. We would like to see some artwork using these colors, however, we are open to new ideas and innovation so please run with it. Also, our logo is currently at the top center of the page with the contact information across the bottom.

Our slogan can be just "Third Party Administration". Or "Employee Benefits Administration".

Please let me know what other information you might need.

Thanks,

lynchpin5

We also provide Pension Consulting for Public Employers. This involves the different types of pensions allowed by the IRS for certain eligible public employees.

Thank you, pennyln, for getting the ball rolling.

I'd like to see a more creative font. We've decided to stay away from any colors that are "electric" or pastel. We want "POWER" colors from a business perspective. The dark blue is a little smokey for our taste.

Also, DESIGNERS, please reference the contest given by Bay Bridge Administrators. They are colleagues of ours and that logo is genius! It has the dimension-type we're looking for...something to go at the top center of our letterhead.

I know its a little tougher since we don't have a tangible (bridge) in our name, but I know someone will hit the nail on the head.

I also think we've decided to go with the tag line, "Employee Benefits Administration".

Here's my submission. Could you also give us a link to Bay Bridge Administrators contest. I'm not sure where to find it.
Thanks

WOW! This is a great experience. Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate the creativity on everyone's part.

pennyln: The first design of your second set is somewhat catchy, however I'm not sure a breifcase is what we want to use to define or describe our company.

coredesign: Your first design is more appealing to us than the others (we are definitely out on yellow), but I'd like to see some sort of emblem or design to it. I am a fan of the font used on the tag line. Can you use a different font on 1st TPA but keep the same idea (lower case) and add a design in the top right area? The more I look at it, the more I like it.

disturb: Not what we looking for although it was the favorite of one of our VP's.

Mute Design: Out of your entries, we liked the last one. Can we see it without the yellow, maybe dark green and gray or black and blue...I don't know, surprise me. Also, we'd like to see the TPA all the same length. And lastly, can you remove the dot in the "1st circle"? We like both tag lines being used.

Mark: This is more of what we're looking for although we want to stay away from black and red. We like the idea of the emblem but not the emblem used.

I guess we are a fan of the modern logo, I.e., lower case with a defining emblem somewhere. If I were to give a definition of what we do, it would be outsource delivery. We are used as an outsource for some pretty big employers. We like spheres and swooshes or maybe a network symbol of some sort since we connect employees/employers to their benefits. I am not a marketing genius. Can you tell?

Mark: Good stuff! I like all of your last 3 entries. The only thing is that they're missing the "1st" in our name, 1st TPA.

On the first, can you take the design coming out of the circle, make it vertical and smaller, add a few more, and make it look like a group of happy employees to the right of the circle. Also, can you make the circle look spherical with the "1st" above the "tpa"? I'd like to see that.

On the second, probably my favorite so far, just add the "1st" in some creative way. Can you take the group of happy employees from the first one and replace the cube with them. (leaving the ring)

On the third, I'd like to see the horizon line at the base and shorten the box a little. (Add "1st") I'd also like to see the horizon line between the "tpa" and the tag line.

j-design: Very nice also. My assistant's favorite. Can I see the tag line on the other side of the "p"? Also, will you bring the design to the right of the "a"?

Thanks guys.

Hi lynchpin5,

I can't believe I missed the "1st" in all three... I don't know where my head was at? ooops, sorry.

Anyway, here's the revisions you asked for. Let me know if there is any other versions you would like to see.

Cheers :D

Ryan: Man, I really like the blue one. Are you sure you can't find another font for the 1st tpa that has the same type of "t". I sure would like to see a font without so many corners. I don't mind the font you have but I'd like to see another font to see how much I like the current font. Also, I need our contact info to go across the bottom of our letterhead. Can I see it in the same font as the tag line? Address, Toll Free Number, and Fax.

j-design: Cool, but a little too techno for us.

Mute Design: I like the blue one, too. However, we're looking for a more modern, corporate look.

Taldo: That's the right idea. We're out on the colors and the emblem but like the placement and the font.

Mark: On your post where you submitted 4 logos, can you reverse the color and fading of the last one with the employees at the top. Also can you turn the employee with the oncoming neck injury right side up? We wouldn't want to encourage any unecessary claims processing in our logo. ;) Also, on that logo, is there any way to have the "t" extend into the white instead of having color on the left of it? Hopefully you understood that. I like them all.

My apologies, Eagle. I didn't mean to leave you out. It's a little too much on the "outter space" side for us. We also are staying away from colors like that green.

I would still appreciate some new concepts from all Designers. I have seen the work of many other designers who do not have an entry yet.

My current favorites are Ryan's (you were right, I do like the top one of your last post) and Mark's latest entry.

Also, I apologize if I wasn't clear enough on my first post that this logo was for our letterhead as well as envelopes and, pretty much, all our correspondence. Someone please let me know if I am out of line. I am inexperienced at this and would appreciate guidance.

You're making this hard, Mark! I still like the post with the employees at the top. Can you darken the blue a little? Maybe make it more of a navy? I'm not sure what this would do to the fade quality but I'd like to see it.

WOW, Ryan! That is excellent. Can I see if the logo looks as good on the left side of the page?

I would also like to see the font be a bit smaller at the bottom.

That is fantastic, Mark. Dark blue?

Ryan, logo on left side and smaller font on bottom. Could I ask to see what a business card would look like?

I am close to making a decision.

Ryan, this contest is for a logo for their letterhead. Could you clarify what you mean by it being outside the scope of the contest? Did you mean that your mock-up is simpler than what the final product would be?

Thanks :)

Wow! When I started this contest, I wasn't aware that it would be so hard to choose between designs. I really do appreciate the work you guys have put into this.

Congratulations, Ryan (coredesign)!!! That is exactly the look we're after.

Mark, your entries are awesome! This was gut-wrenching for us.:bash: I know it doesn't mean much, but we really do appreciate you and your work.

I will be posting another letterhead/business card contest today for a different company. Hopefully it will have the same results as this one...Awesome!!!
