View Full Version : Odd/Fun News Site Needs Logo $95

NewsAttack.com (not up yet) will be an odd news site/blog. (Think ObscureStore.com and Fark.com.)
- We need a logo that's fun but authoritative
- Simple with one color + white
- We don't like logos that have busy backgrounds (that look like a banner ad)
- If it matters, our page font will likely be Trebuchet MS

Great start, guys.
I believe I'd like the NewsAttack words to be the same font. No ".com" is needed in the logo.
I like the simplicity (minus the ? mark) of markbeaudry's design, though I don't want all black.
I hadn't thought of the shark for the logo. It's interesting, though the one in MUTE DESIGN's logo is too cartoonish for me.
dynagirl, I don't like the burst over "Attack" and the design/font seems overly simple.
To tell you the truth, I like the look of the attached Domain Outpost logo! I'd want "NewsAttack" to be on the same line and I certainly don't want to steal the DO logo outright, but something like that (which I just saw) really catches my eye.
Hapy, here's something a little more simplyfied for you. :)

I like logo 'A' the most (the one that has blog...blog...blog above it). I'd like to see...
- Change blog...blog...blog to blah...blah...blah.
- The words News and Attack separated into two.
- Drop the 3-dot thingy below the logo.
- Add an exclamation point after Attack.
- I love the colors and font. Can I see that color (after changes) plus a few more?

I thought you said you wanted the logo similar to "Design Outpost", and I missed your attachment of the "Domain Outpost" logo. That's why I was way off! (I gotta learn to pay more attention. Sorry.)
Anyway, I guess Mute is on the right track, so I'll bow out graciously now. :)

Glad I hit the spot...Here are the requested changes, with some colors that have some "POP". I dropped a star in the break on one just to experiment with the look. Let me know what your thinking…

I like the style of the green one! The black border/shadow make it stand out. I also like the star between the words!
Can I see that logo...
... Without the "blahs"
... Without the exclamation point
... With the orange that's in the logo above it in place of the green.
... And perhaps a couple more like it with different vibrant colors in place of the green.
