Project Summary:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Solluna

What type of product or service do you offer?
I have been practicing astrology for nearly 10 years.
I offer counseling and advice based on Astrology and therapy on a personal basis. I write articles and teach Astrology at the Academy of Astrology based in Copenhagen. Besides that I arrange workshops and seminars all to do with astrology and personal and psychological development. I am very fond of symbolism and consider astrology to be a language of symbolism.

How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for 3 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
To attract a greater number of people who are searching for a solution to a problem whether that would be business or private matters.

What are your long term goals?
To create a good and sound reputation and a name in my field
To write a book on my subject
To move into a bigger and more central situated building
To be able to live by my income without having to look for extra work outside my business such as office work etc.
And eventually to have my own School of astrology, therapy etc. but that might take eons :weep:

Please describe your existing audience
My current audience are men and women (40-60 years) coming from all sorts of places, but I do find that people within the caring/nursing and social working sector are more in numbers. They all have one thing in common: An interest and a passion for self-development.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
I would like to expand my existing circle of clients and hopefully attract a younger age group (30-40 years)

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Something unique, something different and eye-catching.
Solluna is a symbol for light and shadow - Light (or the Sun) being what you are striving towards - that is knowing yourself and being conscious about what kind of person you are and the life you are living. Shadow (or the Moon) being your past and the things you are moving away from to become who you really are: YOURSELF

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I am not fond of pastels. I like contrasting colors like red/black, silver/blue, gold/black but please don't feel constrained by these colors.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Not any in particular – but I am not too keen on the obvious: Sun and moon or the ying/yang symbol. I do like surprices!

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Depth, insight, contemporary, professional, confidence

What is your tagline or slogan?
Don’t really have any – but on my web-site it says on the first page (in Danish) “Se mod lyset så falder skyggerne bag dig” which would be something like this in English: “Look toward the light and shadow will fall behind you”.

Where will your new logo be used?
Web, letterhead, flyers, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
My competitors are astrologers, therapists and psychologists.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?
New ways of combining a very old “tool” (astrology & symbolism) with therapy and coaching.

Must admit that there is a bit too much sun/moon or ying/yang theme about your suggestion, which I am not to keen on :(

Thanks for the submission, but I'm not really feeling the symbolism of this one :(
What works for me: Elegant font and/or cleanly readable, and I would really like something completely different than the sun, moon and stars, sorry.
An idea: Would it be possible to see some designs where you use the letters of Solluna to illustrate a message for instance the "o" as a magnifying glass or a well or something completely different that sort of combine the psychology and astrology link? But please keep up the good work, I am extremely appreciative of all the efforts.
Would love to see some more designs and designers on this project!!

Like the font - but I would like something a bit more visual/eyecatching and perhaps as suggested a combination of Solluna and an image/picture/symbol - I work with symbols so please do not hesitate to use them.....:D

I have been looking around and I like the colors you used in version 4 Kristenscott, but could you make them a bit stronger?

Another font perhaps - a bit slimmer? If you know what I mean? I like the eye. Could you try other versions where the eye is placed differently and perhaps something else than Taurus?

Not bad :)...but it made me wonder if people might think it is a dart club? Would still love to see some more suggestions in that direction though!
The font is still a bit too bold/heavy - I am not sure how to put it...
Colors: Could you give it a try with a mix of green/purple/black (I know there are a million different shades :confused:)

(perhaps the eye could be a bit more feminine? - I do not know how, and it is quite alright if it's not possible..)

Just been to see your portfolie and wondering if you could do anything like the ARBOS group design with the eye as the "O" in SOLLUNA?

I have attached two pictures - because I like the idea about the O as a manifying glass and the eye behind it, would you be able to do that and make the O a bit bigger than the rest of the letters?
I am wondering if you could make something out of the two LL letters as well. This is the way I'm spelling SoIIuna - using the two L's as the sign of Gemini - but perhaps making them a bit more personel - please do write if I am not making any sense! Anxious to see your revision!!!

I like the font - but it seems to me that the S is a different font?
Must admit that I'd hoped you could come up with something a bit different than the attached example of the two II ?
(was kind of looking for a new look!)
Any other color combos and fonts would be great to see as well...
Color wise how about PMS 551, PMS 7518 and PMS 585 (if you could make them a bit stonger?)
or PMS 188 and black - I am extremely appreciative of all your efforts!!

I like the font - not to happy about the blue color though.
I would love to see some more ideas, where Solluna is part of the logo ( like #28 and #31)
I must admit that I really haven't got a clue about the colors and font (yet) :(
But would love to see some lime, black, light blue, green, yellow colors - not all together though :)
(or PMS 551, PMS 7518 and PMS 585 if you could make them a bit stonger?)

I really like #41 (as well). Do you think you could make the "n" like a normal "n"? Would like to see small letters again with this one. Could you make her throw the same sun, moon and stars up in the air as in # 39?

#39 I prefer the font and colors of the first one (A)

# 40 could you make it the same font as #39?

Not to happy about the colors - too dull :(
Would like to see the sunbeams in bright yellow, and the figure orange and the rest of the letters in black (like #39)
How about lime would that mix with any color?

Paula I love the colors of #53 on the black ellipse, but I do feel that they loose some of their intensity without it...

Oh my....this is almost impossible...I have compared the last design with #53 and I can see that they are almost the same or they seem so on the computer.

My concern about #53 was actually that that the yellow and orange would sort of fade on a white background and therefore thougth that a darker yellow and orange would do the trick...but now I really don't know:weep:

I must admit looking at the two (the last one and #53) that #53 seems more bright to look at...so if I choose that would it be possible to have a very very thin black line framing the letters to make them more visable on white background?

I thought I would show you a couple of other options
to make the logo pop.
Version B and C have drop shadows that could work as well.
Don't hesitate to ask for as many adjustments as needed.

I also thought a negative white outline to break up the drop shadow from the logo would look pretty nifty:)

You're right about the white outline - it does look great, but it's not as clear and visible as the top one.

So, I do believe that we're near the end.

Is it possible for you to send the logo with the black ellipse, the above one with the shadow and the black/white?
