What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Beauty & Wellness
What type of product or service do you offer?
Beauty & Wellness is a brand that will encompass a webTV network, a regional magazine and health and beauty expositions hosted in different cities around the country.
How long have you been in business? Our company has been in business for eight years, this project had its soft launch in May and will hard launch in October.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? Establish the brand and drive consumers to visit the website and visit the expos in their cities.
What are your long term goals? The mission of the brand is to inform consumers as to their options for looking and feeling better and living a longer, healthier and, hopefully, happier life.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

Please describe your existing audience
Our general audience is adults 18-54, but our principal audience is health and aesthetic minded women 25-54.
Who would you like to add to your audience? n/a
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? Chic and bold with an energy that pulls "beauty" and "wellness" together. Looking better makes you feel better and feeling better makes you look better--inside and out.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Our current logo that we used for the soft launch is slate blue and sort of sea foam green. It looks at first glance very "spa-ish" but focus groups are saying it feels a little dated and too clinical. So maybe brighter and bolder colors..warms instead of cools.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? No. Again, we used an abstract flowing body icon in our soft launch and it isn't getting great reviews. I like the idea of an icon, but I would one brand logo that would work on the expos, at the top of a magazine masthead and on our webTV pages.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Strong, competent, your "go-to" source for information and resources for healthier lifestyles and luxury pampering.
What is your tagline or slogan? Beauty & Wellness is the brand. I would like to indicate in subtext that we are Expos, Magazine and WebTV.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? We are your source for information on the web, in print and in person at our expos.
Where will your new logo be used? Everywhere.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
We don't have any contemporary competitors that do what we do the extent that we do it and using the same vehicles. In print, we compete with any and all beauty or fitness magazine, on the web, we are similar in concept to www.webmd.com but with FAR more video content, and in terms of expos, there are tons of local health and beauty expos or health fairs in different markets.
