G'day gang, I have another contest for you. What I'm after this time is a female illustration in the mold of Lara Croft. I.e. a very shapely eye-catching image. The intended use of the image is to display it in a newspaper advertisement. I figure that my target customer is mainly male and nothing catches the eye of a man more than that of shapely woman.
I would like mainly a head to waist shot of the young lady with nothing on... but a conveniently placed BBQ gas bottle hiding the rude spots. The lady needs to be fairly well endowed in all the right places if you get what I mean!
The image needs to be as realistic as possible, very eye-catching but not to revealing (I don't want the newspaper refusing to run it but revealing enough to get a mans blood boiling)......oh also the gas bottle needs to have my business logo on it. The logo BBQgas2u was designed by Dynagirl. see the logo forum AUSSIE LOGO 3rd September.
Good Luck

I'm not sure if I'll be entering this contest myself since illustrations of people aren't my strong suit. But I thought it would help other designers to have the logo available right here in the contest.
Here's a bbmac's BBQgas2U logo:

Hi there, Mark Downunder ;)
I know it's just a rough, but if it's in the direction you're looking for,
let me know, and I'll finish her up, and make her look purdy.
If there's anything you'd like to see different, also please let me know and I'll rough her out again.
(It's a bit easier for me to show my initial ideas from scratch - so to speak :) )

Yes cre8or that is what I'm looking for...but could you have her switch sides from the bottle? I am looking at the big picture of what my ad will look like. If you imagine the ad size as rectangular in shape...and slightly longer than it is wide and most of the girl image on the left hand side of the ad....this gives me room to the right of the girl/image to include some text.
Does that make sense?
Mark downunder!

Hello Mark,
Here she is.
She's all vector, so you could use her in a small print ad or a large billboard -- no problem.
Please advise.

Thanks Kimber, it looks good.....but I'm not sure about the gas bottle look.
I don't won't to be picky...but can you make the gas bottle a bit more realistic?
The shape of it is not quite right.
Cheers

I can fix it up.
Might you have a picture of the actual type of gas bottle you use?
If you could post it, I'll work from that.
Thanks in advance,
Kimber.

Thank you very much Mark.
(Maybe I should have put my eyes on).
I'll be able to work on it this weekend, if that's okay.

G'day cre8or, Can you give me a ETA?
I'm due to renew my newspaper ad this week and I would like to use your illustration if possible.

Sorry for the delay, Mark, I've been laging behind lately. Would Wednesday be acceptable? I'll try for before then, Wednesday would just be like a safety-net.
Please advise.

Hi Mark...
Hope you don't mind, but I've totally gone in a different direction. She's the same gal, but I decided to go the photoshop route and "airbrush" her up. I thought the vector drawing looked to "hard" -- not soft and sexy enough.
Hope you like her.
If she's too much, I'll go back and fix the tank in the original vector design.
If you do decide you like her in Photoshop (colour and Black & White shown), please keep in mind, the file is resolution-dependant and it's maximum print size is approx. 8.5" x 13" or thereabouts. It's print-ready at 300dpi.
Please advise.

She's fantastic cre8or. Well done.
As for the file format...I have Microsoft Publisher
And as long as I can use her in that....then that's fine.
Cheers!

Glad you like her.
I'll prepare the files and either upload them tonight, or tomorrow @ work... if they're a little on the large side.

Well, don't know you, guys, but my blood is boiling :D
I'm with Michael on his demand: it would be just fair, for the gas bottle is there for the publicity, while the rest is... well... for art's sake! :)
Great job, Cre8tor! ;) Congrats!
