(Admin code added by Palmer - 6989912)
Looking for a Student Ministry logo to fit with the theme of LIFE. Our purpose is based on the word "life". First of all to connect students to Christ for life (as in our time here on this earth). Second to connect students to Christ for life (as in spiritual life, because Jesus is the only way). Third to connect students to Christ for L.I.F.E. (Love relationship with Christ, Imitate Christ, Faith and Fellowship, Evangelism)
The word LIFE should appear in the logo.
Should be full color and able to use on business cards, envelopes, t-shirts and banners. Logo will be used for 6th - 12th grade students.
Should include the concept of the cross and if possible the name of the church "Tates Creek Christian Church" or can be abreviated TCCC.
This contest will be over November 12 at 4pm EST.

Redlizard,
I like the rough edges on the left image and having the cross involved. Keep them coming.

I like the concept, especially the second one. Could you make the cross smaller and try some different colors. Some reds and earth tones maybe?

redlizard,
Can we try some different colors for the one on the left?

I like what we are getting, but I wonder if the small print won't show on business cards and envelopes. Also, this is a separate logo from the church's, there needs to be something about "Student Ministry" in there somewhere.

How about having "Student Ministry" placed across the horizontal part of the cross...?

Colors....something gender neutral. How about the Letter I/Cross in brown. The remaining letters in blue, not primary blue and not baby blue. Then, do the outline and small word on the bottom in a 3rd color, maybe a green or shade of red.

sounds good about the white letters. could you also stick with the colored letters and put them below like in past designs but leave the student ministry part in the cross?

sorry, I mean put the letters below the LIFE like you did on the one posted Posted: Oct 28 2003, 01:25 PM. That way the letter show up. Put the "student ministry" across the cross in white letters so you can see it.

Everyone,
Sorry I have been so sporadic in my updates lately. I do appreciate all the great ideas.
Jonmulk,
Could you make the cross a bit smaller. I like just about everthing else on the Nov. 2 post (the one with the love, imitate... across the bottom)
thanks

can we try keep the brown and try hunter green,
keep the brown and try red,

Would it be possible for me to change the colors afterward? Like if I wanted to change the blue to green to better match a shirt or something?

If you have either photoshop or illustrator, then I could set it up so that the colours can easily be changed. Do you have either of those applications...?
DROB45
11-12-2003, 01:30 PM
I have: Microsoft Picture It, Print Shop and Paint. Would those work?
jonmulk
11-12-2003, 01:33 PM
Hmm... I think it could work with Paint - I'll try and find out for you.
I might as well try and match your desired colour as close as possible though, just to avoid having to change it in future!

None of those will work. My advice is to invest in Paint Shop Pro 8 for around $99, it plays well with .psd files.
Free fully functional trial version here...
