What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
A Whole New You Expo

What type of product or service do you offer?
Consumer health and beauty exposition featuring seminars, guest speakers, interactive workshops, products and services for consumers.

How long have you been in business?
The Expo is new, finishing its first year, but our company has been in business for nearly 10 years.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
The brand is a merger of two existing brands so we want to build awareness of the merger and the new brand goals.

What are your long term goals? Build the brand and the business and expand outside of California.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
July 16, 2008

Please describe your existing audience
Upscale, beauty-minded women 25-54.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Health and fitness minded men over 25.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Emphasis on Whole New You, perhaps an icon that would demonstrate growth, development or change in a person.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Bold and warm. Maybe reds, oranges, purple. Definitely NOT pastels. Our previous logo was blue and seafoam green and definitely looked to dated and clinical.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Something that embodies self improvement, change or development.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Our shows are a focused resource for consumers to understand their options for looking and feeling better.

What is your tagline or slogan?
"The Beauty and Wellness Show"

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Our shows are a one-stop source for consumers who want to be healthier, fight the effects of aging and be more beautiful inside and out.

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, print advertising, apparel, marketing collateral.

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Other expos. In our hometown of San Diego we compete a lot with a women's expo that is NOTHING like ours but we have similar demos. Their logo is very girly and cartoony and definitely feminine.

Hi, SkyVee. Thanks for the submission. I like the direction this is going. Maybe the rising or emerging sun (moon) or what have you pulls away from the main image? I'm not sure. One of our goals, however, is to attract more fitness and health focused men and this is definitely more on the feminine side. Maybe we could look at incorporating a male image into the icon? Just some thoughts. I'm still processing. Definitely a great way to kick it off. :-)

Hi, Paula. Sorry for the delay. Got sidetracked.

Let's focus on two color schemes:

Version 2 B looks good as it is.
Version 2 A--make the "expo" purple so the emphasis is on "new you" like in version B.

Maybe throw in one more color mix where "new you" is an emphasized text grouping.
