officially - 4 years -- stopped then restarted 4 years ago, but I have been in the industry since college

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
professional, creative, comfortable-approachable

I do not want a 'scrapbook' style logo... clean, simple. Can have a vintage flair, just not scrapbook looking

What are your long term goals?
A memorable logo that can be distinguished by only parts of the logo being seen -- Currently I have a 'swoosh - doodle' and I am hoping that the 'swoosh-doodle' becomes part of my identity.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
I want to move on this fast... hopefully I can choose a designer by July 28th



Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I like parts of my current logo... but I have realized that it can not be used in black and white only, so I have to re-do the logo
I like the studio name in all lowercase, I think it looks more childlike...

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
The colors I use for marketing are browns/khaki/soft light blues

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
I currently use a swoosh or doodle - see my website - I like the feel of it.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
professional but playful, approachable. Able to connect with my customers - moms and kids

What is your tagline or slogan?
celebrate special moments for a lifetime

Kekepanie - I had no idea that rotating the 'doodle' would make it look like a 'b'.

Paula 23 - I think the 2nd version works better in b/w and I think the baby face is too cute. Does it not work as well with 'studio'?

DraganB - not enough 'doodle' for me... I am looking for something with more to it. So that I can use the 'thing' (in my current logo - the doodle) as an accent in my marketing. I put the 'doodle' faded out and in different directions on my current marketing pieces. Sometimes you see all of it, sometimes only part of it.

I am looking for something that isn't too scrapbook-y looking. Does modern-vintage make any sense? I am not really sure how to explain it.

My customers explain my work as: in touch with the child-like innocence of my subjects, clean and simple with an emotional connection.

I like the feel of Paula 23's 2nd logo - the baby's face. It is a direction I did not think about going.

I also like the direction of Kekepania's designs. But I don't like the font that 'childrens photography' is in. Any other ideas of swirlies or doodles?

Paula23 - I still like version #1 - I think it is cleaner looking than the child like font of version #4. But I do like the less linear look of version #4. Still pondering these two.

Kekepania - I am still drawn to your version #1 and version #4. On version #1, the childrens photography font I do not like and you addressed this in version #4 - still not sure about those fonts either.

Tinawood - Totally love, love version #1... but would like braxton studio and childrens photography in two different fonts.

tinawood - I like the 'braxton studio'. How does the 'childrens photography' font look all lowercase - 4c. I like the childrens photography font lighter - I guess it is lighter - like in 4c. But I like it smaller (or shorter in length) like in 1c. Can both of those requests be accomodated?

Paula23 - I like the look of Version 7 - It is easier to read than some of the others....let me think about it.

tinawood - I really like the b in the box... maybe change the blue so it matches my blue in the original logo (the original is too aqua blue) and I would like to see the original font for braxton studio that you did and a variation of the childrens photography font. I like the childrens photography to be smaller/thinner like in 1a, 1c and 4c. And could you make it all lowercase - I wonder if that would look good.

I am drawn to the original teal/blue you used and I like versions 1a, 4c and the top logo in the latest version - I think it is 5a. How will 1a look if I were to put the b in the square on top of the text?

Do you think it can be moved from the top to the side okay?

version 6a and 6b are the same font, just one uppercase and one lowercase. I'm sorry, I don't understand your question about putting the "b" on top of the text? If you just mean moving the icon, then yes, that's easily done. Thanks and sorry again for the wait on this!:)

Yes, I meant the icon - can it be moved from the top to the side -- how does that look with each style in version 6?

And how does the second version (6b) look if we pull the text so that it lines up with the edges of the studio name - similar to 6a, just lower case

I have decided to go with #7 - going to check my PMS colors and double check the color blue I want to go with. Thought I wanted the soft blue I had... now I am not so sure.

This is soooo hard. Can you think of any colors that will work? (I know it is a loaded question) I usually have more traditional colors in my logo, but I am open to change... staying in the blues/teals/greens color scheme.

Hi Amy, I was just coming in to see if you'd posted, sorry I missed this one. A bluer blue might be easier to match with tissue, etc. Brown is pretty universal and you can always go a shade darker and it will still match. I love the new pear green and brown combo...NPD box has some boxes those colors.
