The insurance agency this is through since 1982, this site/project is brand new though.

Sell lots of short term health insurance plans J

July 31, 2008

Audience Profile:
Target customers include college students that have graduated but have yet to find a job with benefits, people in between jobs with benefits, and people that retire before medicare benefits begin.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Professional but “fresh/new” for lack of better words. Most of our competition has really outdated sites/logos so we are hoping to achieve a modern look to differentiate.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Any imagery used in insurance marketing is usually related to peace of mind (often happy families, etc.) or health.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Professionalism, New/High Tech
What is your tagline or slogan?
No real tagline, although if the logo looks naked with just the site name “Temporary Health Insurance” or something related could be added.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
This company will likely become the largest retailer of temporary health insurance plans on the internet and would like all creative materials to communicate a sense of “this is the #1 company around for short term health plans”

Where will your new logo be used?
The main purpose is for the web site. It will also be used on business cards and letterhead I’d imagine.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
eHealthInsurance.com, ok but boring
ConsumerBenefits.net, very outdated

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We will be functionally similar to eHealthInsurance.com, with the core difference being that short term health insurance is going to be our focus rather than an ancillary product. We will be different from all of our other competitors in that we are offering side by side comparisons of rates and benefits.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
The only place to look for short term health insurance.

I would like to go with this one. Could you try a couple variations in font for me and perhaps one with the text to the right of the bridge instead of beneath it?

To everyone that has submitted logos I think you are all quite talented and I'm sorry I have not been available to provide feedback. I really appreciate every submission.

Jennifer I think we're going to use v5 on the web site only without the .com on the end
