Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

White Isle (or Aisle) Photography (or Portraiture) Please use the wording that inspires your design.

What type of product or service do you offer?

I do weddings, portraits, lifestyle, journalism and commercial Photography. Mostly newborn and weddings.

How long have you been in business?

5 years, in photography for over 13 years.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

Attract more clients and to be identified with my logo.

What are your long term goals?

Market to a higher level of clients and those who appreciate photography as art.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

July 26th.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience

Mostly females ages 20-40 upper middle status.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

higher economic status and those who appreciate photography as art.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

I want an elegant logo. I like the vintage bohemian look. But modern in that it is simple and clean.
I like the idea of having a symbol that identifies the company. Maybe in between white and isle?

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

I am drawn to the red and blue in the link below. I am open to other choices as these may not fit with White Isle.

Also like the green in this logo.
http://mistybull.typepad.com/ (http://mistybull.typepad.com/)

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Something completely unique like in the samples below.

http://www.<WBR>mistybullphotography.com/ (http://www.mistybullphotography.com/)

http://www.<WBR>erinbellphotography.com/ (http://www.erinbellphotography.com/)

http://angelamphotography.com/ (http://angelamphotography.com/)

I don't want the logo to look pieced together but to completely flow together and be an original.

I also like American sparrows of tattoo origins. I don't think this fits either but someone may have an idea.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Original, elegant, fresh

What is your tag line or slogan?

Open to suggestions.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

Original, elegant, fresh

Where will your new logo be used?

Website, blog, letterhead, envelopes, business forms, marketing

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

List competitive URLs if possible

These are not competitor, just logos I like in order of favorites.

http://www.<WBR>mistybullphotography.com/ (http://www.mistybullphotography.com/)

http://www.<WBR>erinbellphotography.com/ (http://www.erinbellphotography.com/)

http://angelamphotography.com/ (http://angelamphotography.com/)

What sets you apart from your competitors?

Style. I am a trained photojournalist who wants to put the perfect portrait touch on your moments. To turn everyday moments into something extraordinary.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Original, elegant, fresh

Thanks Pracus!

I like the idea of using gold but any colors used would have to be very rich and saturated. I like the BW version better. The scrolling is nice but not exactly right.

Hi Kekepania!

Thanks so much for the designs! I like the font and how it is used. I prefer the green. I also like the design but its not exactly what I'm looking for. It's kind of one of those things that I'll know when I see it.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can better convey this? I'm not sure how to describe it.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was off having a baby but now would like to dive back into this.

Thank you for the design Tina1. It's nice but not what I'm looking for. I want something more polished.

I also like yours Off Beat Design but I'm looking for a logo that centers around a particular design. Thanks for the try!

Kekepania version one is very close. I like the font and colors. Could you twist the 4 main design elements to close in the center? I would love to see this!

I like the revisions Kelepania. I am still hoping for a design that is more custom but I do like these.

I really like your design unorthodox!

Thanks everyone for the great designs!!

Giant, I like your take on the sparrow theme. Very elegant looking but it's not me.

Tina Wood, I like the design but the W may not work for me.

For the logo, I'm envisioning some sort of graphic in between the White and Isle. Something reminiscent of a sunburst or blown out photograph. Not literally but something that gives that feeling.

Unorthodox, could you take your design and try the above idea? Use the bottom one and wrap it around the words a bit?

Kekepania, I liked how you flopped the colors so the design is white on the green background. Your design would also work easily with the above idea.

Thanks for the comments :D

I have a small question though:
-Do you wish for me to integrate the leaf design I made with the typography? Meaning that I should mix the design with the letters intertwining?

exey100
08-25-2008, 01:57 PM
Unorthodox,

I think with this particular design intertwining would be good. I like the upside down version the best and please keep in mind the feeling of the sunburst. Thank you so much for your time!

Thanks for replying Stephanie. Your design is one of my favorites already:) It is very close to what I am looking for. Does anything else come to mind for the sunburst feel for the graphic? If so let me know otherwise I will ask you for a revision based on your previous design. I really like what you and unorthodox came up with.

I feel like I haven't communicated what I want very well based on the amount of designs I'm gotten but I'm at a loss for what else to say. If I can help you along in anyway please let me know. Either way I want to wrap with up by Friday as long as Unorthodox is able to revise by then.

Hi Stephaine,

I am deciding between version 9 and 10. I think I am leaning towards verion 9.

I have been following Blissgals thread as she referenced your design for me in the beginning and I think see and I have the same tastes. I was kind of waiting to see the responses to her last post.

Is is possible to see a font for me done as she described? "I want a stylistic stand-alone font logo created that feels upscale and hip"

I am really drawn to the font you used but I would like something completely unique but with the same feel as the current font.

Also, I'm wondering how may versions I will get? I would like a color and B&W and a set like the one you reversed so the color part was actually the background. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Beth

Sorry Beth, we are not allowed to communicate via PM until you have chosen a designer. Here are your changes:yes:

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for the revise. I definitely like the tweaked font. It's really hard to get across what you want when you don't understand the industry and it looks like the wording helped get it across. This one looks more original to me. Is is a established font or something you made?

Can I see a version #11 fonts with the version #9 graphic?

What about the versions?

"I would like a color and B&W and a set like the one you reversed so the color part was actually the background."

I was talking about the effect you used for version 6. I could see wanting to use that for packaging.

Will I also be able to move the graphic around when I get the final files? I would like to be able to have the graphic huge and the font small(like version #3) in certain situations.

Unorthodox,

Will you be able to revise? Sorry for the PM. I didn't realize it wasn't allowed. Hope you are healing and feeling well.

Stephanie and Unorthodox,

I will make a decision tomorrow.

The Font for the all capitals version is Trajan Pro and the all lowercase one is Caslon Pro. You will get a color version and b&w version and I can throw in one more version if it doesn't require many changes. I'm not sure if you will be able to move stuff around on your logo, it depends on what software you will be using and your skill set in that software. I can always include a stand alone version of just the graphic so that you can scale it to whatever size you would like. I think that was all your questions:confused: Let me know if I missed anything

Thanks!
Stephanie

Hi Stephaine!

I would like #12 and #13(the one on the left, not the solid one to the right). Can I also get a inverse version(the graphic in green) of #13 and a stand alone graphic?

Thank, thank you, thank you!!

Thank for the files Stephanie!

When I convert to a png file the edges are jagged. Do you know why this would be? Am I not doing something right?
