Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
'The Way' should be included by the logo.
What type of product or service do you offer?
We are a relevant, progressive, push the boundaries type of Student Ministry(Youth Group) that helps middle and high school age students know Jesus Christ as The Way. The first Christians in the Bible were called the followers of 'The Way'.
How long have you been in business?
We have been around for 3 years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I'd like our new logo to be an icon for our community. I'd like to see the logo itself be used as a brand for everything we produce at The Way Student Ministry. I'd would also like to use the logo on JPEG Desktop Wallpaper, T-Shirts, Hats, Carrier BAgs, Stickers, Pens, patches, etc.
What are your long term goals?
I would like this logo to be recognized throughout the community.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

These are middle and high school students who are into the music scene (local venus), wakeboarding, skatebaording, school sports, video games, independent music bands. They wear brands like volcom, vans, hurley, independent, billabong.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I would like a logo to be an icon. I don't want the logo to have a religious look. No cheesy church Stuff! Also, I'd like to stay away from using arrows as the logo; I'd rather see The Way logo have more of a 'journey' 'path' 'road' direction, than a arrow direction. But I am open to anything else.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Colors don't matter. I just would like to adapt the color to what I use it for. However, the logo must be able to look great black and white.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Again, I'd like to see The Way logo have more of a 'journey' 'path' 'road' direction. But I am open to off the wall stuff.

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Young, relevant, alive.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That this logo is 'The Way Student Ministry' at Real Life Christian Church.
