(Admin code added by Palmer - 9S501035KG0971131 , 6MM82948RW379825V )
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
<o:p> </o:p>
Eisele Law Firm, P.A.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
If possible I would like to have one version that has eiselelaw.com (mywebsite) at the bottom if that is ok.
What type of product or service do you offer? Law Firm. Legal Services
How long have you been in business? 1 year.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? Hope to brand myself. I am looking for something that is fairly traditional but that will catch someone’s eye. I do not want any scales of justice or cheesy something that has been done a million times.
What are your long term goals? Brand the firm.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? August 13, 2008.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience. Persons looking for legal services
Who would you like to add to your audience? Additional persons looking for legal services.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
<o:p> </o:p>
I believe my previous comments cover this. I would like something strong. Nothing Fluffy.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) I do not really have any colors in mind. The logo will need to look good in B an W as well.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? No. I do not want something that looks like every other law firm logo. However, I also do not want something that doesn’t look lawyerly.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Strong and respected law firm.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Do not want or have one.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
<o:p> </o:p>
As above, strong and well respected law firm.
Where will your new logo be used? Website (I will use this logo to design my new website around), mugs, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, etc.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Most law firms in my area have not started to brand themselves yet.
List competitive URLs if possible
here are some other big law firm websites. <o:p></o:p>
I do not want mine to look anything like theirs really. <o:p></o:p>
http://www.cnjlaw.com/
http://www.fridayfirm.com/
http://www.wlj.com/
http://www.roselawfirm.com/
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Not really relevant.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Focus on zealous advocacy and good customer service.<o:p></o:p>

1) Thank you for the submissions
2) They are not exactly what I am looking for. I will try to give some extra guidance.
V1- I have, after looking at your color scheme, discovered I am probably more partial about certain colors than I realized. This is my fault for not realizing it. I think I would probably lean toward some stronger colors. I also feel like the logo is a little "soft" for what I am trying to convey.
V2- I think the logo is neat. However, I think it is a little too progressive for a law firm.
Thank you again Blue Cherry, I encourage you and others to keep trying. Thank you for all your hard work.
Project Update: The project deposit has been raised to $225.

I received two messages that logos had newly been submitted via email. I saw one ..but now it is gone?
Does this happen sometimes?

There are several more that have been submitted, they're just pending changes to conform to our policies and then they'll be back in the thread.

Attached is the first of three initial approaches. This one uses traditional colors and a no-nonsense typeface that presents a strong visual for your brand.
artboy34
07-30-2008, 04:17 AM
This approach has a little more flair while using deeper shades of burgundy and blue. A few variations are shown with regard to their applications, i.e. web and specialty items.
artboy34
07-30-2008, 04:18 AM
This version uses an unconventional shape to catch the viewer's eye without any "frills." This shape not only serves as a strong visual, it also lends itself to a wide range of branding uses, including apparel and other merchandising items.

Thank you for all of the submissions so far. None of them have particularly grabbed me. I can tell you, after looking at them, what I do seem to like (note: i am not an artist so please forgive my lay explanations):
1. Block letters vs. Scripted
2. Clean Edges (what i mean is, geometric shapes in the logo)
3. I do like the solid color backgrounds. for example like this:
http://www.rasorlawfirm.com/images/rasor_web_logo.gif
4. I do appreciate "xpressions" trying to incorporate the traditional looking E in Eisele. However, I feel that is just been done a few too many times. I keep trying to think of some sort of symbol that has not been over done that "Screams" lawyer. Scales of justice, gavel, etc are just too over done. It may not work out.
I hope this is a bit helpful. If you have any other questions of me please feel free to ask. Thank you again for your continued hard work.

Ok,
Some great submissions. I am going to comment by post #'s. Give you guys a chance to tweak just a little bit. Or if someone wants to put someone new up thats fine.
#16- I like this one. Possibly try some different color combinations. if you could include the website in a version somehow.
#17- I like the concept. Very neat. Also if you could fit a website in there.
20- this one may be my favorite. could you slide the style of the E from 23 into this one to see what it looks like? possible w/ the website somewhere below?
21- this is fantastic. the only thing i worry about this one is the translation to black and white. i will have to do many things in black and white and i do not know if it will have much pop w/ out your great color idea.
22- i really like this design. is there a way to put a website addy below or around it somewhere?
23- I really like this one. I was wondering if you could do this w/ a few shades of blue instead of the orange. I do like the orange, but I wanted to see what another color looked like. a website in there too please.

Thank you all for your modifications. Here are a few requests.
#16 (pracus), and variations thereof, I have a lot of people who like this logo and its variations. There is a bit of visual confusion by the people who like the logo. There appears to them that the E" is followed by an upper case "I". A lot of people are confused by that, but otherwise like the logo. Could you try dropping that and/or putting some other symbol or art that serves the same purpose?
#17 (offbeat) i like all the variations. in fact, i like the circle E. however, a lot of people think it detracts from my name "eisele" if you take the circle E off, a lot of people like it. could you try a different concept for that logo? keep the font for the rest, just modify the circle E?
#20 (eziey), and variants, this is also one of the very popular ones. i have thoughts that the E may work, but may not. could you try the same layout but experiment with a different widget ? also make the Eisele bigger or at least the same size as the top colored half of the logo?
#22 (eziey), and variants, my wife likes this one a lot. however, i would like to see if you can get the "eisele" on the right hand to stand out over the law firm, p.a. that part is really an afterthought.
all of these i see the importance of "Eisele" becoming the focus
i have really tried to narrow it down because i know you all are working hard. i feel like i am getting very close. i appreciate all of your hard work and professionalism.

i viewed this logo:
http://www.jacobtalbot.com/
to the three folks left in.
i thought this was a way to put a design in w/ the name, and have the similar color scheme i like.
obviously i wouldn't ask you to rip it off. and i still am contemplating the ones i previously commented on.
if there was a graphic you could throw in there instead of the E with Eisele....i would like to see.
thank you again.

I have reviewed all the recent submissions.
In completely candor, I am presently not found one that I willing to settle on.
Pracus- Again, I really like the style of your logo. If you had the time I would ask that you play around with it just a little more. I like the fact that "Eisele" stands out in your submissions.
eziey- In all honesty, I feel like I liked the earlier designs better. The issue still would be somehow getting "Eisele" to pop as in relation to the others.
OffbeatDesign- I still like your attempts. However, I have not been able to latch onto any one of them in particular.
I do apologize if I had been confusing in the beginning. Just to keep the focus, here is what I am looking at:
1. Branding "Eisele"
2. Look of a Law Firm
If it means simplifying the logo, that is ok.
I appreciate all of your help, and post and questions you may have.

Dear Hardworking logoer's,
(First I really like the red logo from tini...it would work in my below concept for website)
My idea for the website is to have the core of it be in black, white, and shades of grey.
Then sporadically, at points of interest that I want clients to focus on...I will have very vibrant colors.
For example.....www.apple.com
It would even be less color. However, I think that gets the idea across.
So I think for logo purposes..something like tini's red logo....something with a solid color...would be good..or something like pracus did earlier...with the black and grey's for font...and the color for the "widget"
looking forward to the submissions..i hope this helps you all.

Tini- version 2
one thing i would ask you to try to modify. i need the black and white version to show up substantially. could you possible make "eisele" larger...law firm pa a little larger..and shrink the "widget" a bit?
cheers.

Tini- Regarding version 4, Could you still try to make eisele a bit bigger and smaller logo? The widget is so bold I don't want eisele to get lost in the shuffle. The only feedback from my colleagues is that it may look a little too hotel-lish.
Pracus- I am still mulling over your modified "widget". If you have any other ideas i would like to see them.

could you show me what it would look like
1) if the eisele text was in a bold red color?
2) also if the eisele side was red background with text in white?
any other ideas are welcome. those looks pretty neat. i was trying to think of a subtle way to call attention to eisele. i thought those ideas might work.

I have narrowed it down to three selections.
I am not asking anyone to modify these three selections. However, I am wondering if they can post a mock-up where the background is a off white (like color of legal letterhead)

Revisions:
As far as they go. I really don't have any thing really i'd like to change. My only concern is I will be using a linen type paper that is more off white or beige..is there any way you can put your design on that background? I am only worried that the grey text may be just a tinge too light.
That is really my only concern.
Oh and If I could get a logo version w/ and w/o the website. One would be for a mugs, shirts, etc. The one on my website would just be the logo.
