Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

Licata Clinic of Chiropractic, Inc.

I would like to have "Licata Clinic" as the main focus, and "of Chiropractic, Inc" on the second line.

Please see http://bessoclinic.homestead.com/

What type of product or service do you offer?

We are a specialized field of chiropractic that helps with many chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Please see www.nucca.org
or www.upcspine.org
or www.uppercervicaladvocates.com

How long have you been in business?

I am a new doctor.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

I would like to give the viewer the sense that we are different, professional, and caring.

What are your long term goals?

To help as many people with this unique type of specialized care.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

Aug 20 is the target date.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience

Females 35-65 is the most common audience. I think this is because they typically make most of the healthcare decisions in the family...so I've observed.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

I think this is good enough.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

I am open to ideas. I would like the text to have Licata Clinic on the top, and "of chiropractic, Inc." below it. I have considered including an oak tree or something similar in the past because it represents life and stability, but I'm not attached to it.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

I have not thought of it. Maybe a soft green?? I'm open.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Not that I would definitely like to see. But again, I have thought of the oak tree, though I'm not attached to it at all. Please, do not include any spines in the logo. Thank you.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Unique, Competent, Professional, Caring.

What is your tagline or slogan?

Maybe you could include a version that includes "specialized spinal care."

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

That we are a unique form of healthcare that may help even when others may not. We do this with an uncompromising dedication to clinical excellence, sincere compassion, and the highest in patient care. This may be a lot, but this is the big picture.

Where will your new logo be used?

Sign, business cards, and letterheads.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

I guess my competitors would be other chiropractors in the area. Most have spines in their logos, which I do not care for.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?

The science and training behind our practice is unique from the majority of general chiropractors. In addition to this, we strive to offer high quality service to our patients.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:

Genuine help, even when others could not. :)

Here is an initial concept, based on the objectives you supplied. I will be working on a few additional designs to submit for your review in the next day or so.

Thank you for the opportunity!

Thanks artboy34! I like the idea of an image to the left of the title. Do you have any other ideas besides the oakleaf? We can play with other images.

Also, what would it look like if the bottom line was flush with top? I don't know if that will interfere with the image.

I look forward to your ideas.

Thanks Kekepania. I like the way the text and the graphic mix well. I also like the diagonal lines in the graphic. I was told that it is important for the logo to "break the plane," meaning that it is best to have lines that are neither straight vertical, nor horizontal.

However, I would like a logo with a little more weight to it. This may sound cheesy, but I am trying to imagine a 40 year old woman with chronic fatigue syndrome for the last 5 years, and have her see the logo, and get the sense that this is a strong, competent, yet genuinely compassionate place where she can put her trust. We are usually the last resort for most people, and I'd like to try to convey this sense of trustworthiness.

I hope this helps, without getting too detailed.

Hi Kekepania,
I visited your website, and I liked your logo for Montgomery and Greene dental the best. I don't know if this helps.

Thanks

Thanks NHR,

I liked version 2.0 the best. I liked the font and the line going between the words. I'm not sure about oak trees.

Could you show me what it would look like with a darker green background? And please feel free to come up with any other ideas for a graphic.

Thanks

Here is another approach for your review. Thanks for the opportunity!

Thanks LutFi,

I appreciate the attention to detail of your logos. However, I am looking for something simpler. Also, the general feel of the tree and water seem a little too somber. Please let me know if you have any ideas for alternatives.

You graphic artists are amazing. I appreciate not only the talent, but the patience you must have to work with clients who don't quite know what they want until they finally see it!

I hope this update may help focus things a bit more, since I am starting to get a better idea of what I do, and do not want...

1. I will depart from the oak graphic. I have come to realize that the icon of an oak looks much more somber, and less comforting than the real things in my neighborhood.

2. I would like to keep the text format as it is because it looks good.

3. As for the accompanying graphic, I like the idea of my friends logo at www.bessoclinic.com and another that I saw on kekepania's website of the initials inside a diamond or circle...or someother geometric figure. I like the diamond because, again, the diagonal lines "break the plain" (for whatever that is worth). I'd like to see possibly some creative versions of the L and C, and some basic versions if possible too.

4. I am still not closed to other creative ideas, I just felt this would make things a little easier for you all.

You guys are great! Thanks

Oh, I almost forgot.

Would it be possible to see a background color on the logo. Again, maybe a brownish green, or something? I would just like to see if that may give it the weight I was looking for.

Thanks again

Hi,

I just had a second to look at some of the new logos. I definitely like the simple initials on the side of the text.

Kekepania: I like the professional look of the font and the initials. I like having only the single diamond, rather than the additional square. Do you have any other versions of the initials?

Tini1: I like the creative use of the initials. I was wondering if you had any other versions too? Do you have any other fonts you can try out? That logo would be perfect for an office near the beach, since it is very fluid, but I would like it to have more "gravitas."

Skyvee: Thanks for joining in. I also like your second version, but could you play around with the fonts, and maybe a few other initials to see if any stand out? Again, I'm shooting for something professional that invites trust. Pretty vague...I know.

Great! I definitely think simpler is better.

Skyvee: I like version 3. I think the little swoosh does a great job of breaking the plane. I also like to graphic. The contrast between licata and clinic makes things a little too busy though. Can I see a version with both licata and clinic in bold, and one with out the bold text? I like the L and C, can I see it in some color variations. I like earthy colors but am open. Thanks.

Kekepania: I still really like the setup of the text and graphic. It looks much cleaner without the other square. I would like to see some variations of the initials. I'd also like to see some other color variations to get a visual idea of how it looks. Thanks.

Welcome Giant: I like your version 2. I'd also like to see some variations on the initials.

LutFi: Thanks for the new variations. I think they lose some of the simple effects of the basic logos. Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

Skyvee: I really like version 04b!...the second from the top with the green and brown. It looks professional, clean, yet has a nice warmth. Is it possible to see the swoosh just one step lighter with the same color combinations? Thanks.

Blue Cherry: Thanks for the ideas. I think it is outside of what I'm looking for. Please feel free to include any other ideas.

LutFi: I love your creativity, but it is going a bit away from what, I'm looking for. It is maybe too abstract for my audience. Also, please feel free to include any others.
