Hi everyone,

I’m an actor working with a group of people on 2 documentary projects (we have other ideas in the pipeline) We need to pitch these ideas to senior network executives and get them interested in our projects. Rather than go with cap in hand, synopsis, script etc, we want to create a website that we can refer people to. This website is not for public access, we will give a password to each target and track their progress within the website (which project they looked at, how long they took etc). hopefully if one of our projects is picked up we can work as a group on others and also use that success to build a small video production company that keeps us working in the industry while we’re waiting for that ‘big break’ – just like you guys.

I originally wanted something like Merlin productions or round table or … something a bit mystical, magic but I ended up using Perbenyik because someone said it sounded different, exotic. Perbenyik (Pribenik) is the name of a small town in Slovakia where my family came from. My attempt at a logo included an image of the property my great Grandfather lived in, it’s now an agricultural college.

I guess if I were making horror films it might suit but I need something exceptional. Once we have the logo we’ll submit the brief for a website
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The business name – Perbenyik Productions
What type of product or service do you offer?
We want to develop our own ideas for film & TV and also offer High Definition Video production services, equipment & personnel
How long have you been in business?
just started
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
interest major networks in our ideas for documentaries
What are your long term goals?
To become a ‘real’ production company accepting work from clients and pursuing our own ideas for film and TV
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
15th of August ?
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
We have no existing audience, our initial audience will be ‘media tired’ network exec’s and larger independent producers
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Eventually, anyone looking for a video production company
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
something that can translate from webpage to business card to golf shirt
Clean, not complicated, easy to see/read
Something that stands out, attracts the eye
Do you have any colours in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I need something that stands out on a black background for clothing (for working on location & backstage) anytime I’m on location the logo becomes a walking advert on my shirt or cap
red? (this blood/vampire/horror theme just won’t go away will it?) – I’m open to suggestions
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Not really
I thought about an image that said ‘film/video…’ but the name ‘productions’ tends to suggest that anyway
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Intriguing, knowledgeable, out of the ordinary
What is your tagline or slogan?
You tell me – I’d love one (that’s not the slogan, I’d really like one)
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
this is worth a second look, there’s something different about these guys

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, card, clothing, letterhead, email etc etc

Flashback - okay

Goodeyedeer okay
