Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Krysia Photography (upper or lowercase)
What type of product or service do you offer?
I am a photographer specializing in children, babies, maternity and seniors. I do not do wedding photography.
How long have you been in business?
1 year
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I would like my new logo to convey that I am a photographer with a contemporary style. I would also like my logo to match my existing website: www.krysiaphotography.com (http://www.krysiaphotography.com) (not the logo currently on the site, but the overall feel of the site - which is contemporary, IMO).
What are your long term goals?
Long term I hope to be doing the same thing I am currently doing - busy with my photography clients. On the short-term, I will be going on maternity leave sometime in October and hope to rebrand my business entirely.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
August 8, 2008
Audience Profile:
Couples, families, pregnant women, newborns, toddlers, children and seniors.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
I am currently happy with my audience. I do not wish to expand to boudior or wedding photography at the moment. I would prefer to attract more baby/children and less families. (I seem to attract a lot of families and larger crowds at the moment).
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I want the main focus of my logo to be the fonts chosen. I love logos that have the business name in a particular font, and initials in a really fancy scripty font (or even hand drawn). I have also seen several that have initials surrounded by scroll-work or some other detail. I am open to anything, but prefer the main focus be on the written name and initials. Examples of logos I LOVE are: (Note: I do not want to copy any of these logos. I just want to show the scripty-text-based logo designs that I like. I would want something different and uniquely mine. I know these photographers listed below, so we cannot have the same, identical logos.)

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I love muted tones, such as a pale aqua, sage green, salmon pink and chocolate. I do not want bright, neon colors whatsoever.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you I am open to any ideas that flow well with my business and business name. I do like birds, branches, leaves - a twiggy type feeling. I am avoiding child-related images/icons (such as candy, umbrellas, kites, etc.). I would want something more classy/mature for the type of clients I want to attract.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
I want my logo to reflect that I am a contemporary, modern-day photographer with a lot of style. I am a positive, fun person and my photography business is the same. I want to spend time getting to know my clients on a one-on-one basis, and hope that they will return as repeat clients. I do not want to appear child-like in my business branding.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Although I don't use it except in a few places, "Contemporary Portraiture"
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
The overall message that I want to send is that I will produce timeless, high-end quality images of my clients and/or their family. Keepsakes to last a lifetime.
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, blog, business cards, letterhead, packaging materials.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Although these are not my local competitors, I love these logos from these photographers in business similar to mine
(Note: I do not want to copy any of these logos. I just want to show the scripty-text-based logo designs that I like. I would want something different and uniquely mine. I know these photographers listed below, so we cannot have the same, identical logos.)
