I would like to get logo which is modern and stylish, and can be used easily as watermark on my images.

Audience Profile:
I do all kinds of photography and want to attract all kinds of clients.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
I started as wedding photographer and most people see me as wedding photographer, while wedding assigments represent 25% of my work. I want customers to realize that I am not only wedding photographer.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
I am open to all ideas, but I would like my logo to be more compact and with simplier fonts, then the old one. It is very important that the logo can be used some creative way to watermark my images, and also to by able to use symbol which will be in logo without the text. I want to use the symbol which comes with logo on CD cases, different boxes, and other products.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No particular color. But I would also like to use fonts (similiar fonts) and colors from logo on my blog and homepage which will have light background.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No. I would like to see something in logo, what will imply that my business is photography, but it is not necessary.
You can see my old logo at blog.martin.fo. I am open for “facelift” of my old logo, so if you want you can give it a try. But I think that if remake will not be completely mind blowing, I will rather go with new logo.

Communication Strategy:
Where will your new logo be used?
New logo will be used on my website, blog, watermark on photographs, cd-cases, business card, letterhead...

Competitive Positioning:
www.miriamjanus.com (http://miriamjanus.com/blog/) – they are my friends and competitors on the wedding market, and even they do not have any fancy logo, I want to be able use my logo on my images distinctively different way then they are using.

I would like to go away from handwriting font and also would like to try to see some logos only with text "Martin.fo".

Can you try to make some logos which will be more compact and fill rectangular area?

Another possibilty would be to do something creative with:

"MARTIN.FOto" , but it should be obvious that web adress is just Martin.fo.

I was thinking about all the designs and I am sure about some things:

1. I do not want to use Martin.Foto
2. I like the idea with combination of ICON and Martin.FO and would like to see other ideas.
3. I would prefer the ICON to be 2D
4. I am not really sure about the fonts so you can also make some variation with normal fonts, but also with more causual (handwriting style fonts)
5. I would also like to see use of “PHOTOGRAPHY” word in MARTIN.FO
6. Almost all the logos posted here actually look very serious, and I am not that serious photogrpher ;). I think it is fonts which make it look too technical, and I have asked for this fonts, but can you try to make it look less serious and technical. Maybe combination of 2 kinds of fonts. One for Martin and another for FO.
7. I want to use the logo as watermark on my images. Try to imagine how it would look when placed on photograph. I liked the logo from NHR Version 3.0, but it didn’t work when I tried it as watermark, it appeared kind of too heavy.

Nhr. – I like the way you use martin.fo and that you wrote my full name with foto under the text. I do not really like the icon, it looks very dominant. Can you make it maybe smaller and use another font. You can also try some handwriting fonts.

Kekepania – I like mostly the RED+BLACK version. I think I will stay with M + Martin.fo, because M+artin.fo can be confusing. Can you also try to use my whole name in combination with Martin.fo? Can you also try some different font for Martin.fo? I would like to see some variation, because I am not completelly sure about that font.

Xpressions – Thank you for your input. I dont really like the brackets around the M, because there is another known photographer who use this kind of logo. Can you try to make something different?

NHR and Xpressions, thank you for your inputs, but I don't think I would like to use any of these two. NHR I think that the font is too thick and I don't like the icon either that much. I would like to the icon be more fresh.

Xpression your icon reminds me of NERO and feels too dominant.

I am sorry, it is very difficult to expres myself.

NHR can you try something with thinner fonts in icon (like the fonts which were used in SLN studios logo). The icon shape can also be a circle.

BTW my name should be spelled SIRKOVSKY. :)

Welcome Dewa Jaya. Your input looks interesting, but I think that I would like to have some part of logo with some kind of handwriting font. You are welcome to try something else. I think I would prefer to have some symbol created from M or MS combination and the text next to it, rather then to have FO in the frame as you did in your logo.

Could you try some other color combination. I prefer the circle one, and I would also like to have font a bit thicker. You can also try some only with M, and also with MS where the characters in symbol are starting and ending outside the circle.

If anybody else would like to try some other ideas, I would be glad.

DEWA JAYA - Thanks for your input, but I don't think I can use this logo. Try something with mixing handwriting font with normal font, maybe something in style of SLN studios as I posted as example.

Right now I am choosing between Kekpania's and NHR's design.

NHR, I would be glad if you could try to make some other designs of the symbol. Can you try to use red and black combination, and try symbols both with M and with MS. Use clean handwriting fonts.

Sorry for such a long delay, but I have been busy here.

NHR:
1. can you try version 7.8 in red and black colors.
2. I don't like the fonts in 7.10 and 7.11
3. Can you remove the shaddow in 7.9 design
4. 7.12 - I am not sure how to feel about it, but I somehow like it. Could you try something similiar with both MS.

In all designs can you try separate little bit more "SIRKOVSKY" and "FOTO"? If you look at one color versions, you can see that there is almost no space between these 2 words.
