Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

Something soft, but at the same time simple.
I'd like it to be modern enough for very playful images and yet simple enough for elegant black and white.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Fresh, soft shades of green or blue, perhaps with a touch of soft orange or pink.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

If at all possible, I would like something to symbolize my three sons- my inspiration. This could be very subtle (or not so subtle) - 3 of something would be good.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

New, fresh, breathtaking, emotional images

What is your tagline or slogan?

Don't have one as of yet

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

That I am professional, creative and my images are very high quality

I'm not crazy about the font used for my name - I think I'd rather see it either more stylized or perhaps just a non-handwriting font.
I like version 1 better with the circles, but I know that a prominent local photographer uses 3 circles, so I don't want to "copy" that.

I'll try to think, also, of something rather than the shapes to use.

I do like the colors, and the "photogrpahy" font.

xpressions- thank you, I like this a lot.
I like the font. The flowers, although I love them, I'm not in love with them.
I think the flowers are too much on their own, too, if that makes sense. I'd like to see whatever embellishment come before or after my name or in the background, perhaps. I also wonder what my name would look like with some color?I like the how the bold seperates my first from last name and how the p's tail ends up in the exact middle- cool.

Thanks everyone for your beautiful submissions!!
I've been away and now I'm one day from my deadline!! Yikes!

So, here we go:

xpressions, Carol Taldo, green identity and Kekepania - i'm loving these the designs the most, but I think there's still something missing.
Perhaps I may need to abandon the "3 things" to get it though.(?)

What I would love to see is the graphic part incorporated into the font more. I saw some recent examples on here:

especially in post #1 - third one down and in post #8.
I'd love to see something like my initials or just a stylized V in a square or flower with maybe 3 circles/bubbles (or something like that), then my name, etc below that. Maybe with a bit more dots or something within my name. I'm also thinking maybe I'd like some more bright, modern shades of pink, orange, green, blue (still with some brown or dark grey or black incorporated).

I'm excited to see what you will all come up with!

I love both those versions. V2 - I wonder how it could look with the V and the P in the circle? Also, I do love the idea of the circle, but could I see it with only 3 smaller circles? There's something else about it that's not perfectly working for me, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's too much brown. Can you make the circle into a simple flower that flows into the text?
v3 - again , I really love it, but maybe I don't love the grey. Also can I see it with the photography only under the pallan? I really love the flow and balance of this one.

The circles/flowers are a little too busy for me in the graphic.

thanks for these latest designs.
I'm liking the idea of #4, but it's still not quite working for me.
I'm thinking the colors might be a bit too bright/too many.
I'd like to see something without pink and orange. I should maybe try to find these colors, but I'm thinking a more peachy pink, wedgewood blue(but with a bit more grey), and I like the green that was used back in post #10. I'd like to see maybe just 2 colors together, like brown and blue for example. What I mean is I don't need all the colors together.
Also, I'm liking the idea of a flower, I think I'd like to see what it would look like with a less bold flower, something more soft and flowing.

I am still open to new ideas, and I'm happy if some other designers jump in with some new designs.

Carol Taldo - I really love the font you used and thought the chicks were super cute. I'd love to see another something like this, but with something else instead of chicks, any ideas?

Kekepania - I had some ideas in the last post- just wondering if you were going to be able to use them at all?

I like the flower in V8, I like the flow of v7.
I don't love any of the color combos.

Great! Kekepania, I'd like to pick you as my designer, for sure.
I think this last one with some tweaking will work.

The font is OK, but I'd like one where the bottoms of the letters are all straight. And I like how in the others my name was all one word with either the first or last in bold, and all lower case, too.
The colors are great love them.

Love the flower now... is there any way you could make some little dots or circles to incorporate the graphic even more into the text.

Ok... that font is better, but I'd like the font a little bigger in proportion to the graphic, if possible. Just because I know my name so well, it's hard to tell if the first and last name are Ok like that. will it be easy for someone to what my name is who doesn't know me? I'll trust your expert opinion on that part.
Perhaps photography could be in a plainer font so it's easier to read, and do you think it looks best under the Pallan or would it be better under the whole thing?

As for colors, I love them both so much, it's really hard to pick.
Do you think it would look OK with both colors?

I personally like the photography to the right under pallan. I think it looks more balanced. Also, I get it that it says vicki pallan not vickipallan as one word. :yes:

I'd like to see dots on the i's instead of circles.

As for the colors, I'm totally undecided. I like the 2 colors together (maybe?). I have no one to ask an opinion of ...what do you think?

Ok...just throwing this out there...

could you try one version with one more color? The 3 colors of version 12.....plus a little accent of a sheer watermelon type color?

part of me wants lots of color, part of me doesn't.

That last one is pretty, but you're right about adding other colors.
I think with the flower and the pink, it would just be too too girly.

When you said you like 2 colors, did you mean brown with either blue or green? Or the blue and green together?
I just can't decide.. I think I'll go sleep on it.

Can I see version 11 with the dots on the i's, and a teensy bit more space under pallan and if there's space I'd like to see brackets around photography. Still in both 2 color combos.

A couple of questions:
When you send me the files, will it be possible to also have files with the seperate graphic and text - I was thinking sometimes I might want to use just my name without the flower, and vice versa?

Also, is there any chance of getting both color versions, since I love them both?

One more thing - are the fonts you used ones that I can purchase? If so, can you tell me what they are and where they can be found?

Hi Vicki :)

Yes, you can have separate graphic files for flower and text if you would like. Also, I will give you both color combos. For the text, you don't really need to buy them, as the logos will be provided with the text converted to paths. Unless you are wanting to type something additional somewhere else. If so, the fonts are brandywine (which is free) and myriad. I will make those revisions later this afternoon and post them :)
