To guide the designers in the right direction from the start, please complete the following questionnaire and copy and paste it in the first message of your logo project:

Design Outpost Creative Brief Worksheet

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?<o:p></o:p>
Our Consulting firm is called ‘3A Brand Consulting’<o:p></o:p>
3A stands for (not for the logo, just as an explanation)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· AAA: Product rating as we are targeting outstanding high quality products (rating agencies in the financial markets use this term as well)<o:p></o:p>
· A for Asia<o:p></o:p>
· A is the second letter in the three founders names<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
The logo should include a combination of a graphic and the name of the firm.<o:p></o:p>

What type of product or service do you offer?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We offer marketing, sales and business development services to our customers using innovative tools like the experiential marketing concept.<o:p></o:p>

How long have you been in business?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We are still a start-up.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We want to accomplish attractiveness, professionalism and trust for our international clients with our modern, clear and progressive appearance (logo).

What are your long term goals?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We want to develop our business to become a regular partner for international corporations in supporting their marketing activities in foreign markets and supporting them to develop a global brand.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
13/08/2008

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
At current stage we are a start-up without a considerable customer base.

Who would you like to add to your audience?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Our target customers are in the beginning Chinese corporations producing products of outstanding high quality. Most of them are already established corporations in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><st1:place>China</st1:place></st1:country-region> with a strong local brand. Their goal is to go abroad, sell their products in international markets and create a more global brand. China is just a beginning. In the future, we continue with other Asian countries and Africa could be an option as well. But the focus is still Asia.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
As we give products a name (brand) in international markets we think of a kind of design that incorporates this service. A correlation of our logo design with physical branding of particular objects might be interesting. But that’s just an idea. Other ideas are welcome!!!<o:p></o:p>

Do you have any colours in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Not too colourful! We think red should be included because in Asia it is a regular colour.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
No specific.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We want to be seen as a corporation with the following attributes incorporated in our logo:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· international<o:p></o:p>
· China (Asia) orientation through logo (attractive for Chinese business clients) <o:p></o:p>
· modern (progressive!)<o:p></o:p>
· professional competent<o:p></o:p>
· clear structure<o:p></o:p>
· creative design (no standard!)<o:p></o:p>
· trust<o:p></o:p>
· business (no frills)<o:p></o:p>
· uniqueness<o:p></o:p>

What is your tagline or slogan?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Not defined yet.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?<o:p></o:p>

‘Bridging’ Asian products with foreign markets relying on a professional partner<o:p></o:p>

Where will your new logo be used?

<o:p></o:p>
· Homepage<o:p></o:p>
· Corporate Identity<o:p></o:p>
· Business cards<o:p></o:p>
· Letters<o:p></o:p>

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?<o:p></o:p>
List competitive URLs if possible<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
http://www.cbm.net.cn/ (http://www.cbm.net.cn/)<o:p></o:p>
à too simple and basic, no real logo design, no presence<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
http://www.globrand.com/list/3-36-2.shtml (http://www.globrand.com/list/3-36-2.shtml)<o:p></o:p>
à standard and basic looking design, globe is too often used image, no emotions<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
http://www.brandcn.com/ (http://www.brandcn.com/)<o:p></o:p>
à incorporates not a professional business, focus is too much on the letters, too much Chinese<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
http://www.chinamp.org/ (http://www.chinamp.org/)<o:p></o:p>
à no idea what logo is telling me?

<o:p></o:p>
http://www.tnsglobal.com/ (http://www.tnsglobal.com/)<o:p></o:p>
à simplistic good but nothing special, not unique and distinctive<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
http://www.jackmorton.com/us/home/ (http://www.jackmorton.com/us/home/)<o:p></o:p>
à modern, fits good together with overall appearance of homepage. But the image is not appropriate for 3A Brand Consulting.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
What sets you apart from your competitors?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
The founders with their different professional and international backgrounds around the service we offer. We offer a full service model including all services needed to bring products successful into foreign markets including marketing activities, sales and business development. We use innovative tools like our experiential marketing concept.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
3A Brand Consulting – The bridge to foreign markets!<o:p></o:p>

We like the design of the 3A letters of LUTFI the best so far...still missing is the 'bridge to foreign markets' slogan. The 3A should be red and the remaining letters in black. we want to see some more proposals including the 3A in a kind of stamp print design and the above mentioned slogan...is that possible?

The letters of bridge to foreign markets from DJAKA is well done! but the focus should be more on the 3A.

TITANIA, please do not write the brand consulting from top to down and no background behind bridge to foreign markets. the overall design (letters) is too much chinese. it seems that the different letters doesn't fit together in general.

hope that the input helps all of you to give us some more proposals...;)

here' again our feedback...

#9 (kekepania) good shot...show us some other stamp print designs please. the 3A should be the eyecatcher... Brand Consulting and the slogan a bit smaller.

#14 (Lutfi) your version 6 with the stamp print design looks interesting...but we want to see some more proposals for the 3A letters inside the stamp print please. and the letters of Brand Consulting and our slogan should fit better together, i.e. similar font and the slogan smaller than Brand Consulting.

#19 (xpressions) excellent idea...:) but the 3 in the A needs still improvement and the small lines of the A are telling me nothing?

well done so far to all of you...hope the feedback helps you to develop some additional versions...;)

lutfi! we like your version #9 the most. the stamp print is excellent and the 3A written from top to down as well. please do some little adjustments as follows...

the 3A should be a bit more clear (e.g. bigger or wider letters), i.e. that someone can identify it without confusion. but keep the artistic design.

the stamp print, brand consulting and slogan should be three separate elements. and the letters of brand consulting and the slogan similar to #27 or #20. is that possible?

please make another version with brand consulting on the right side of the logo and the slogan the bridge to foreign markets under the stamp print as others did already. but the brand consulting more dominant than the slogan. does that fit together?

thanks a lot!

lutfi, your version #14 is the right direction. please do the following modifications...put the small 3A letters from version #9 again into the stamp print. and another version in between the big and wide letters from version #9 and the small from version #9.

another remark, the thin red line doesn't fit from our view because the red colour seems to be different from the red of the stamp print. and the A is white followed by the thin red line. maybe try a small gap between the stamp print and the beginning of the thin red line. and also try to symbolise the bridge a bit more as you make the red thin line a litte bit curved like a bridge.

thanks!
