Project Summary:
Find here our existing logo of the conference:
http://jazoon.com/en/download/logos.html

What we are looking for is a logo for a special track called "Jazoon Rookie".
This special track is for young Java and Open source developers which will have the chance to be a speaker at one of Europe's largest Java Conferences.

This "Jazoon Rookie" is a contest and that's why we would like to have a separate logo.

Important is that the word "Jazoon" will be in this logo, with the same font and color as in the existing conference logo. Do NOT use "09", this logo has to be year neutral.

So you have to add the word "Rookie" somehow to "Jazoon". That's the logo we are looking for.

What type of product or service do you offer?
Java Conference

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
October 10th

Audience Profile:
Java and Open Source developers

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
same as on the existing Jazoon logo

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
same as on [url]http://jazoon.com/en/download/logos.html

We need the logo for online display on our website and for printing.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
as described above, the font, color and word "Jazoon" must be the same

What is your tagline or slogan?
none

Hi and thanks for your works.
I'm sorry, I made a mistake: the Logo should say "Jazoon Rookie" not Rooky.

@Ian: I like version 1, versions 2-4 are a bit too static. Please give me some more versions like Nr. 1.

@Bruno: I like version 1, in version 2 the "Rookie" is not dominant enough. Please use the colours of Jazoon.

@all: Jazoon Rookie is an event for young people, therefore, the logo should be dynamic, stylish, cool.

Hi Bruno, hi All,

Thanks for your work.
I like v5, can you redo that version including an oval around the logo?

I attached the Jazoon style guide incl. cd/ci colours.

Hi and thanks to all!

@Ian: version 5 looks great! Can you please give me some more versions with the stage appearance and delete the shadow? And it's "Rookie" not "Rooky".

@giant: version 1 looks good, try to add some drive to it.

@bruno: version 7 is better than version 6, but I don't feel it. Give me some other ideas.

@all: we will use this logo to create a champions belt, as used in boxing. Keep that in mind and take it as inspiration.

Hi giant,

v3 looks cool, I'm not happy with Rookie-font though. Can you give me some different font versions? Thanks!

Hi all and thanks a lot!

@Ian: v6: can you try to make the stage look a bit higher? I really like the black and white logo of that version with the white line between the "red" and "grey".

@giant: v3.1: do you have the font "VAG rounded bold"? That's one of our corporate fonts. If you do have it, can you please create v3.1 with that font?

Hi all and thank you,

the decision is made and the winner is:
brunocalvin with version 5

Bruno I have some changes for you to make:
- adjust the colours of our style guide to the logo ("Rookie" in red and "Jazoon" in athracite)
- in the first Rookie-"O" please remove the red line in the O so it doesn't look like a C
- between the "I" and "E" make the white mark a bit smaller
Thanks

Hi Bruno,

and thanks a lot!
I'll take the logo with the Jazoon in the back.
Can you finish the logo and post them as attachment or send them to me?

This is what I need:
coloured logo: normal (as it is) and negative (Jazoon white and Rookie as in the normal logo):
- .eps (best possible quality, min. 300 dpi)
- .gif (good quality for printing, 300 dpi)
- .gif (quality for web, approx. 72 dpi)
- .jpg (good quality for printing, 300 dpi)
- .jpg (quality for web, approx. 72 dpi)

black-white logo: normal (as it is) and negative:
- .eps (best possible quality, min. 300 dpi)
- .gif (good quality for printing, 300 dpi)
- .gif (quality for web, approx. 72 dpi)
- .jpg (good quality for printing, 300 dpi)
- .jpg (quality for web, approx. 72 dpi)

Thanks!

Hi,

Two things:

1. In the coloured negative jpg ones i assumed you want them with the WEISS background, could you give the CMYK or spot color, because in the pdf you posted, it isn't? Or you want them with the ANTHRAZIT background?

2. GIF format is only for web. That means low quality and in RGB color mode, not for high quality printing. But i can give you the tiff format, instead for high quality printing.

P.D: Just a plus, you will be able to edit the white strokes in the "Rookie" background. So you can use them as always white on every background or as a transparency.

Thanks, waiting for response to complete the package and send you the files.

Hi,

Just for to know, I grouped all the white strokes, so its easy for you to change their color in case you want them to be transparent and use the logo on any background. Same with "Rookie".

Thanks.

Set the background colour to anthrazite, thanks.

Ok, I'll take the tiff-format.

Sounds great, what program do I need to edit the white strokes?

Just let me know if you need more information.

Thanks!
