Hello there!

I haven't found an answer for this question in the Forums. I'm in Venezuela (not that far from the States, but the difference is sensible). Is there a chance for me to be a member of the community?

They don't have PayPal here and I don't exactly get the 2Checkout system (if someone could explain me how it works - I'd be obliged!).

I presume, the payment issue is one of the factors that are considered when sending invitations, so that's where all these questions come from. I guess, my "case" has little hopes to be solved positively, but anyway, is there another way to recieve payment from outside of the States? Maybe, by mail? :) I can have a mailing box in States... is there any other person here who are in a similar circumstances?

Thanks in advance, people :)
Cheers!

Hi Alexander, we pay designers from countries not able to use PayPal through iKobo.com.

I'm from Philippines and we don't have Paypal too. I bought a card in Ikobo.com which costs $20.

Thanks, Palmer and Luc! :)

As far as I understand, they give you some kind of card that works with Visa Plus ATMs.

Luc, did you buy the card in their office or did they send it to you via mail? I can't seem to find a representative in Caracas. Thanks in advance ;)

The sender is actually the one who is charged with the price of the I-Kard. And then IKobo sent it to me by mail via UPS. I believe you only have to pay the $20 if you want an overnight delivery.

Thanks again, Luc!

I've found their rules about recieving the card. They say it costs, as you state, $20 ($19.95) to send it outside the US or Overnight within the US, and they charge the sender for it. The only way to get it free is in the local office but in "limited countries". I couldn't find a list of these "limited countries" though.

Well, seems like there is a way to recieve money here. ^_^
