Im a maternity/newborn and children photographer with a pile of SPUNK. The majority of my work is newborn and children. My style conveys that spunk, but I do not feel my current logo does.
I am bored with my logo, and I am hoping to move towards a more orange and white based scheme. I love bold and bright, so feel free to throw in another color (pink? blue? green?) if you feel you need too.

sigh... thank you so much... for starting on this..it was so hard to sit and wait for someone to jump in..I am sure that I checked this post about 100 times over the past 2 days!
glyphica, I love the clean, crisp and modern font you used for my name and of course I love it in lower case too. I am not digging the tree at all. :( but the colors are close to what I was after! and I like the dots as well. (my current logo has dots, and I like them!) not saying that I need dots in this new one.. I think I am open to almost anything. I think I have in my head something that is a "wow" orange, then with some fewer blips of a different color. Version #1 seems more about the browns to me!
Its hard to give this cc I tell you... I appreciate your efforts, and I can not wait to see what else you ( or others) come up with!

Offbeat, thank you for joining in on this one.. I love the BOLD pop of orange! and Im actually not minding the pink too much either! I think I would like to see something with a blue/orange combo or maybe a green/orange combo also. Im not sure I loving the dh inside the box however, to me it looks more like an oh than a dh.
Glyphica..thank you for your 2nd version..I am not at all a paisley fan. I dont mind the color block above my name..just not loving the paisley pattern at all.
thank you so much for everyone's go at it so far..I know it early on in this..Im excited to see the end product!

Carol,
thank you for jumping in on what seems like a relentless branding journey! Im excited to see some orange and blue!, I like it more than I thought I would! I still am liking the pink/orange combo, but thats the easy part to change! the font is not for me, I prefer more clean, crisp type fonts.
offbeat.. Version2 :Love the different font! Im giggling at how much that is actually like my current logo.. without the dots! and thats ok I love the PHotography font!
http://www.deannahallphotography.com/DHlogo.jpg
overall I was hoping for something a with a bit more youthful feel to it!
version 3: I think I like either the pink/orange or blue/orange like you have here..but Im not liking the block in front..cool how you used one inital inside the other though!
Version4 & 5: are kinda cool, but I was hoping for something other than my initials as the logo.
version 6 I like somewhat...do you think that an orange/grey combo would work better? again I am attracted to my name and the photography...I think because of its similarity to my current logo
dewa: thank you for joining in also! Your design is just not me!, but I would love it if you would keep trying!
Im excited to see if anyone can use the hip studios images I posted as some inspiration. I really love the top one and the bottom one from that set...the texture on the color block..just adds some modern funky fun feel to them!

Glyphica...this one is my favorite so far..hands down.. I really am liking the textured color area,!...and I actually like the orange and grey also.
Im not sold on the circle/square idea...so many photographers have it, I would love something different..I will try to do some more brainstorming....
I wonder if you could meld your version #2 with #3 and use 2 colors...and with something else...childlike...other than paisley?
do you have any different fonts? I think that you created logos for 2 local photographers...and I think they both have that same font...too bad.. I LOVE it...I like the look of it.. i dunno maybe one with a slanted e? if you know what I mean?

sorry guys I was out of town yesterday..
glyphica, i think i still prefer version #3..Maybe because of just the hint of extra colors.. I like the orange being the main, and grey text for sure. Version 4, i love the texture, but now I am wondering what just three blocks of color with texture might look like? say the orange in the middle (WIDER) then maybe a sliver of pink/blue on the outside edges?
I like the font change on the e, but dont like that style of a at all, or the ll's actually. I promise I will be around more this week to help you guys out as much as I can.
Pracus, thank you for joining in! I like what you have started with, i like the fact that the design is not a square or a circle, that it is something different!however I am not much of a flowery person.. I am all about swirls and things but not flowers per se.I dunno just throwing some thing out there... kites, bouncing balls, kid things, maybe if the flowers were more hand drawn..like something I child would do? I hope I am giving you guys enough ideas..if I am not let me know, and I can do some more snooping around.
i found this image that really strikes me for some reason, i have no clue how you could use it, but i like the bold color combined with the blocks of color..http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/ct15/index.cfm?pkey=rromnurbrk
i know the colors are relative..its just something that really caught my eye

phew you guys have been busy..
xpressions, thank you for joining in, I appreciate your time and effort, but what you have shown here, isnt the style of logo I am after. I would of course love to see what else you can come up with!
Glyphica...LOVe the font you are using..I really like the tilted e! and the clean crisp lines of the remaining letters. I like the fun, and modern feel of version #5 very much. but it still isnt quite saying high end. It definitely fits the fun aspect however.Totally my favorite version so far! Thank you!
version 6, I dont mind either...I actually like only having the 2 colors there..I dont really have any feedback on it.. part of me thinks maybe its too much color block? or maybe the word photography should be only the part in the block? or maybe my name? a thinner more slender color block?
7, not for me, too swirly girly
8: while I love the damask type border around the edge, there are plenty of people using a similar idea to that, and I am hoping to step away from the norm.
I am also leaning towards just the orange and grey...to me, it is saying more high end.. its more minimalistic, and simple. Does anyone think they could work more with that.. something minimal, clean, simple, lets try skipping the playful part...high end..? tell me to go fly a kite if I am nuts! I did some googling of the few high end stores, eg, chanel, gucci, prada, Dolce&Gabbana and they are all very simple and minimalistic.
Once again thank you so much for all your efforts! I truly appreciate it!

wow taldo.. I really like the simplicity of your version 2. I really like the deanna hall part.. the icon in the front still isnt quite what I am after..I feel that the icon is to bold, if thats the correct word... the text in the back is clean, crisp and the icon is too big for the latter part...does that make sense? I like the direction you are going with this very much!

taldo.. thank you for another try!, still not really set on the Square as the icon part... what if you just got rid of the square all together? and just put the initials in orange? dunno, just a thought? but I really like the rest.. I actually like version#2 better as far as the deanna hall and photography goes!
Xpressions!
I really appreciate your effort in thinking outside of the box for the icon! I really like it! I love the textured of it, love the little detail of the corner too! I dont really like the times new roman style font, I prefer the clean fonts like taldo used in#2 and like gylphica used in version#5. (century gothic type...but cooler..Love the slanted e, and the rounded a style.) not sure if you could also manipulate the initials into something a bit less cursive or not?
im excited! these are getting closer to what I am after!!!!!!! thank you thank you!

I love the slash divider and everything after it on Taldo's 2nd version...but I love the unique idea that expressions has come up with for the icon... still not set on the font yet... again loving taldo's choice for fonts...
as for the icon..its still to scripty i feel to go with the clean/crispness of the rest of the logo?

thank you for your submission giant, your concept is cool, but just not quite what I am after..its too bold feeling to me.
Carol, I am inlove with your backend :D hahahaha.. its perfect..exactly what I am after.. the front is still not quite giving me the "wow" response I am hoping to get. Can you think of any other configurations for those darn initials? something a bit softer feeling? not necessarily scripty...but a tad less masculine?
expressions.. still not quite what I am after..font looks like century gothic..which EVERYONE uses... still liking the textured initals, but again..not quite the right font..still too scriptish?
glyphica, thank you for jumping back in, I really like what you have, but I think now that I have seen a few other designs with a more simplistic front end ( initals) I am leaning towards those..any other ideas?

i just wanted to let everyone know that I need to step away from this for a day or so, we are getting close to what I am looking for, but still not anything that is giving me the " AH yes" factor. That being said, I will spend the next day or so going through everything I can think of to help you guys brainstorm ideas. I love the orange and greys, and I love the clean crisp minimalistic fonts, and I love the wee tilted 'e" too. Where I am stuck is on the icon part, I have already used my initials in a previous logo when I first started out, and I truly feel that its just not me. So I will go try to hunt down some more inspiration for myself and for you all.

ok so here we go... I am totally inlove with Glyphica, and Taldo design of the back end of this logo! but for the front I am still at a loss, I think maybe try to stay away from the use of my initials...not because what you have created isnt nice...but I just dont "feel" its me.
here are a few things that I found over the past few days, that really appeal to me. I love the brown baby carriage..i think it symbolizes the "child" side of my business, and I also think that if it was drawn correctly, it would also have a very nice high end appearance to it, (same goes with the blue cradle).
the single flower I also love.. I love LOVE daisies, and I am very attracted to the image of the daisy, I love the one leaf, and the one petal..while it does not say "child" to me... it does very much say high end.
the orange dots..i dunno I just liked it.
the googly eyed pets..i love the smile that it puts on my face..playful and fun... I *think* the woman who created them is a designer here, and would love it if she would jump in...I like her style very much.
hope this helps!

offbeat... I am very intrigued by your version 12. I like it alot...simple..minimal and high end... :) Do you have any other ideas similar to this? just asking.
version 13 also intriques me...its simple, minimal and a bit more playful than version 12...but I like it as well. :D
jjohnson.. Version1 I do think that ladybug is super sweet, however I still want to stick with my orange and gray colors, and the clean crisp fonts. Thank you for your design.
Version 2 is not crisp enough for me, its too...flowy if that is a word.. I want simple minimalistic fonts, and an icon too. I would prefer less detail in the carriage..more like the example I have shown.
Glyphica..thank you for attempting more logo designs for me! do you think you could do this up in the orange and grey tones..maybe make the wheels spindled and a bit larger? I really like the baby carriage idea...:D
Carol I am also intrigued very much by your design, maybe a flower with a few less petals..simpler?
xpressions, thank you so much for coming back to this! I love your take on the daisy, but I feel that its too detailed for what I am after..with the simple fonts, I feel that the icon must also be very simple in design. its way too detailed in the bw version.
thank you everyone..we are definately going in the right direction with these...I am excited..I feel the end is soon! :D

glyphica, thank you for the revisions on the carriage. I really love the idea of the carriage, but somehow its just not quite what Im after yet, Im not sure if its too big? the wheels too small.. something is just not quite right. I love the simplicity of it. think you can tweak it again somehow?
offbeat, thank you for another go also.. I prefer your first take with the flowers over this one.. while it incorporates both of what i like, i think this version is too busy.
what about kites, ducks, bouncing balls? things that kids like to play with? rocking horses, I had thought about the tiffany's baby barbell rattle, but I have no idea how anyone could incorporate that.

im so sorry I haven't been able to reply to your newest designs..its been a hectic week..
anyways.. I still really LOVE the carriage idea..but the designs just arent what Im after...they are too detailed. maybe a bit less pacman-ish? think minimalistic..just enough that a person would recognize its a pram.
heres a quick few that I found on google.
again I appreciate everyones designs and effort. I feel bad that this is dragging on so long.. but there is nothing here yet that makes me say...OHH thats the one..
had a quick idea about a rocking horse, or sunshine...totally my fav childrens song is you are my sunshine....but again, it would have to be simple, and minimalistic.. just some more thoughts!

ohh definitely closer.. maybe a few less leaves? I actually liked the design of your original flower..it was more simple. smoother feeling... pardon the silly image..but something with more rounded and fewer petals like this!

OK this is the flower I want! thank you !
do you think we could try one, with just the outline in a color? rather than the full circle behind it? I know it may not work..with the flower being white..but maybe just an orange outline?
I would also love to see something similar to your version 13 with the 3 flowers side by side...on top of my name..
