Our company offers an online business directory for local businesses in the Chattanooga, TN area. It's a trimmed down, local version of the phone book.

We are looking for a vibrant, colorful, catchy logo to be used in all of our online and print media. Print media will include brochures, biz cards, t-shirts, billboards and more. The logo, therefore, must be easily scalable. If possible, we prefer the exclusive use of vector graphics for this purpose.

We are not designers and therefore have no idea what the logo should look like. Below are some descriptions of our business:
online directory for local businesses only
community-based (Chattanooga, TN)
we offer daily coupons
we have weekly contests
green/earth friendly ("save a tree, stop using the phone book")We do NOT want the following:
anything with the website or business name
initials or letters of any kind
obtrusive or busy designsOur online business directory is live, and we have an existing color scheme, but we're not married to it. So have fun with various colors. We will probably change the colors of our site to fit the logo you design.

Also I advise a 7 to 10 day deadline to get a project started. You can always announce a winner before your deadline and you also can extend the deadline to keep working but a date will need to be put in your project title. Please let me know and I will make the update.

thank you NHR for your logo idea. that's probably too organic for us, though. maybe try integrating a phone book with a tree? just a thought. also, we want bright, shiny colors. your orange and green are nice together but they lack the shine we want. keep up the nice work!

thanks for the submissions. these are great. we're liking the use of a directory but we'd like to see a river integrated into the logo instead of a tree or leaves. Chattanooga is a river city, so that should fit well with our company. excited to see what you come up with! thanks again.

We are really impressed with the quality of these logos. We really like the simplicity of Blue Cherry's first submission (the briefcase inside a circle with a cursor) and giant's logo of the hovering blue/orange sphere. Also, we like Blue Cherry's 2nd logo with the Chattanooga sky-line; something like that with brighter colors and more simplicity would be awesome. Our logo does not need to be directly related to what we do - we just want something eye-catching and memorable yet not too busy. Keep up the good work!

OK, our favorite logo so far is giant's blue & orange hovering bouncy ball. It's bright, shiny, simple, and eye-catching. The arrows look a bit like an "S" which doesn't really fit; some other design would be alright probably. Give us a few more like that to look at and we'll be ready to make a decision. Thanks again!
