Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Openberg
What type of product or service do you offer?
Openberg is an alternative to one-size-fits-all financial data terminals. it will allow users to both customize the look and feel of their data terminals as well as to select just the content and services that they need as well as introducing a competitive element in the pricing of those services. Openberg is also conceptually similar to the Apple App Store in that owes of pricing, data, analysis and other content will create applications and services to be advertised through the site to end users. Users will select the content and applications and sync it to their terminals in much the same way that users sync IPods via ITunes. You are being asked to design the logo for Openberg but following creation of the logo we will immediately begin development of the the web site, including the main page and 1 or 2 “shopping” pages where users and content providers will select/check in content
How long have you been in business?
The parent company, CoKinetic Systems, has been in business for 7 years. Openberg is a new venture within CoKinetic.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We will create an alternative to the relatively closed market of financial data terminals as well as transparency of pricing and data sources. Our users will both save substantially on costs as well as having considerably more flexibility in presentation and application functionality.
What are your long term goals?
We have two: 1) To create a valuable new way for users to obtain and use financial data; 2) To showcase the value and flexibility of CoKinetic’s NewGoo software technology in integrating information from multiple sources and serving it up through a graphically-robust user interface
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Tuesday, November 11th

See above
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Clean, modern and responsible, but also somewhat casual and slightly playful (think Linux and other open source brands).
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
We are open to any color or color combination.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
We are interested in the idea of graphically depicting independence, freedom of choice and “breaking away from the herd.”
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We want the logo to reflect independence and perhaps a little rebelliousness.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Uncertain at this time]
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Financial services professionals now have a choice in the sources, prices and presentation of market data, research, analysis and other data as well as transparency into pricing and soruces.
Where will your new logo be used?
On our new website and on any printed material we subsequently develop.
