Hi,

My name is Justin Goslin and I have recently started a business that manufactures and sells geodesic domes for a wide variety of uses. The business will primarily be web based, and my cousin's disasterous first attempt at my website can be found at www.sunrisedomes.com (http://www.sunrisedomes.com). I recently hired a web developer to recreate the page, but have so far had no luck with her logo designs and so I am here to get some fresh ideas.

Since the website isn't up and running yet, I currently make all of my sales through ebay. Please visit the two auction listings I currently have posted on ebay so that you can get a good idea for what the domes look like and what their uses are:

The only requirement that I have for the logo is that it should contain at least one anatomically correct geodesic dome, and of course the business name "Sunrise Domes". I have considered adding the slogan "Geodesic Solutions", but will probably just stick with the company name by itself. I have some wireframe images that I would like to provide you with, and you are also certainly welcome to use any of the existing images on my current website for the logo design as well. Looking forward to your ideas! :)

Hi,

This logo with the green dome looks pretty good :) I have posted a couple of new wireframe images I would like to see what you can do with though:

The funny thing about the green dome is that when you look at it quickly it looks pointy and sharp. I think it may have something to do with the white wireframe you used. I do like the look of the logo, but I wonder if you see what I mean and can do a little something to dampen that pointy effect. Let me know if you have any questions.

That's great, your revision definitely did tone down that pointy effect. I still would like to see what you can do with the other wireframe images though, so I can see what some options will be like. Thanks very much!

Hmm, I'm not too keen on any of the three options you have here, but I do like the font Geodesic Solutions has. Let's try one with that font for Sunrise Domes. I don't have a great source for font types, just MS Word, and there I found one called Maiandra GD. I'm looking for something not too ordinary, but also not difficult to read. What you have above for the three options seem a bit too tech like and blocky, or at least the last two do. Any suggestions for font sources? And since the company is web based, do you think I should add ".com" to the business name?

Hi DJ,

We're definitely getting very close now =) Of the four font options you provided, I like the second and third the best, but let's see a few more like those. I like how you centered "Geodesic Solutions" in the fourth option, and I also like the ".com" in the green at the end of "Sunrise Domes". The font of option of number two might be just slightly too stylized, and number three is perhaps just a little bit too plain. Something in between those two would be best I think.

Yeah ok, option a. is amazingly close to Cora. Lets try the ".com" in green and on the end, rather than on top, and then "Geodesic Solutions" should perhaps be centered or left justified. Thanks.

Hey I think that top logo with the "Geodesic Solutions" centered is going to do it =) Thanks for all your patience and hard work. How much would it be if I want to change something about the logo in the future, such as the font type? Also, can you recommend a configuration for this logo that would be good for t-shirts and marketing pamphlets? This is great for the website and business cards, but I don't think it would like right as is on a t-shirt.
