Well, 3:45 am and I am just beginning to wind down from working: Typical day for me.
My name is Sean, I am a 23 year old college student finishing up at Northeastern University (in Boston), going for my degree in Management Information Systems.
I am currently partially self employed as a web designer, in addition to bartending to help pay bills and save $$.
Interests: I am a HUGE fan of music, which is why I choose to work mainly with recording artists or entertainment clients on my freelance work (most of my designs tend to fit that category)
Dislikes: Don't have too many of these, but I frown upon ignorance no matter what the subject.
I love how you are never complete as a designer. There is always SOMETHING to learn or expand upon. Anyone who tells you they are a complete designer or programmer...etc is full of ****e. This is an ever-growing field, where nothing is EVER complete. Mind candy is such a terrific thing!

Welcome! I've only been here a couple days myself and already spanked Palmer at a BG contest (just kidding there, Palmer :innocent:)
Anyhow, I checked out your site, some good looking stuff B)
I can echo your sentiment about learning. I've been making websites for 3 years now. Sometimes I feel downright geriatric, but sometimes I feel like an infant! It's wonderful to know so much then realize that you've only received the tip of the iceberg.

Exactly. You never stop learning better ways to do things and learning from wrong decisions. Just when I think I'm getting good, I run across a portfolio like yours and I get humbled back to reality :D
I've always wanted to be creative, I can't draw or paint, I can't play an instrument, but I do have this computer that allows me to let out that creative energy.
Welcome to the team Sean, I'm sure I'll learn more than a few things from watching your work.
Thanks for joining us, glad I sent you another email :) (Sean was one of those that applied a long time ago, got an invite, but never joined)
Welcome to Design Outpost,
Palmer

HEHE. The emoticons here rock!
Thank you for the kind words Palmer.
As designers we all learn from each other, and competition brings out the best work in many...which in turn forces us as creative individuals to expand our skillset or be forced to do so to survive amongst the growing talent within this field.
I look forward to contributing as much as I can, all while learning from the other talent on the forum.
Thanks again!
