I just changed my company's name to BSA Renovations.

i want to change the image of my company a little.

current website: www.business-shaping.com (http://www.business-shaping.com)
our current logo was more geared to the carpentry aspect of things. i need one to be more general.

we are a general contractors but we focus on remodeling ie decks, floors, custom builtins, basements, baths, kitchens. we are also breaking into exterior hardscapes(retaining walls, paths, stone patios, etc.) we bought a new domain www.BSA-Renos.com (http://www.BSA-Renos.com) that is something i may want to incorporate under the logo preferably.

we have two types of customers currently - the first group drive BMWs or Mercedes with disposable income and the others drive hybrids and are green. we respect green remodeling and are moving towards that direction with all our work.

this logo will be used on all our literature, all new clothing, and will fit the side of our box truck(10 feet height by 16 feet long), it needs to be versatile.

a few logos that i like are:
http://finehomeimprovements.com/index.html
http://www.bergendecks.com/
http://www.builtbymac.com/
these companies are friends of mine so lets not steal there work i just like the cleanliness and versatility of them and that they work on clothing, letterhead, websites, truck signs, etc... i of course like the one i have but the problem with it is all our shirts faded a little and you can't read any of the text in the outer border - other then that is has worked very well for us.

the final deadline would be December 28th.
we are planning the new launch of company name and products for the new year so i will need it in hand by then if possible.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
- our target audience is historic homeowners, homeowners looking to make investments into their property, homeowner maintenance, and investors(landlords, apt maintenance)

Who would you like to add to your audience?
- more of the above plus Realtors selling homes needing work done to sell.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
- classic but approachable (i don't want it to look prissy that people will think we are overpriced.)

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
- earth tones seem to be pleasing to the eyes. but i am open to just about anything. it would be nice if it worked on multiple color backgrounds.

Communication Strategy:
What is your tagline or slogan?
- we don't have one

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
- reliability, confidence

if i missed anything please feel free to ask. i know i am probably missing some stuff.

Tyler,

nice work. not to sure about the script letters but at the same time it looks nice with what you done.

i like the orange but think it may clash with our current red truck when ever you get a chance if its not to hard to show me a version with red?

otherwise i would like to wait to see if there is any other options before declaring a winner.

:) Thanks for the feedback. Here is a version in red. We can explore different fonts in the revisions forum should you choose my design.

wow there is some great work here...

does anyone have anything with a classic feel? we do historic work and i am just afraid of the logo looking too "techie" for lack of a better word.

thank you,
-Sal

thank you so much for your continued hard work. i thought i would give some constructive criticism to maybe help others if they wanted a try.

giant - i didn't like your first 2 but 3 is great - i would like to capitalize the R in renovations on the second line and maybe play with color but understand we can play with that later.

lutfi - 1&2 i don't like at all. 3 not so good - to much scroll. 4 is nice good work.

freetime - i like 1 better then 2 it has the hint of historic i am looking for.

bruno - i still think 3 is nice.

pracus - there is something about yours that i think is very nice

tyler - i still like yours too.

it is so hard to choose... at least i have some time to think about it. thank you all again for your continued effort.

bruno

thanks for that. Ooops - i should have known better. i figured the system wouldn't let me if i couldn't - FWIW i just asked bruno to add the roof design like he had on other versions.

i think i like the first one better its a little less busy, but let me ask the others in the office and i will let you know.

as for the others i had narrowed it down to bruno and dewa jaya designs over the weekend. i will make my final decision ASAP.

thanks again to all of you - every one gave me great options.
