Mixed-Up Productions
- What type of product or service do you offer?
We are a disc Jockey business that serves a wide area in Central PA. We are fun, hip, unique. We don't do the cheesy props or YMCA hats :). We have 3 DJ's and are looking at expanding. State of the art system with light show.
- How long have you been in business?
Officially in 2007, but I have started this as a side business back around 1995.
- What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I am a small business owner trying to create a professional brand in this area.
- What are your long term goals?
To expand the business into new markets in our area. To offer an extensive list of option for our clients to help take away the headaches of planning their event. Finally, to be known as "the leading DJ entertainment company" in Central PA!
- When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

- Please describe your existing audience
Women 18-40. Looking to get married mainly.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
- What type of logo would you like?
Bold, text based, simple. I want a female who is looking at my logo to think "professional yet not too old". I want it to be something I can use on promotional products as well. A logo that can work on any form of product (tshirt, letterhead, etc).
I dont want to give you all these rules and regulations on what to do...use your creative mind and just have fun! I know the logo will come out better if you can have fun creating it!
- Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Colors that will stand out but not too crazy. Again, have fun with this. What would grab your attention if you were a bride looking at logos?
- Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Im kind of stuck on using graphics or images (i.e turntable, microphone, music notes, etc), I'd rather not but again YOU could change my mind with the creativity you put into it. Have fun!
Communication Strategy:
- What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We are fun, young, but very professional
- What is your tagline or slogan?
Your Event, Your Way
- Where will your new logo be used?
I will use this logo on my website, business cards, and might end up using it for things like branding and promotional items.
Competitive Positioning:
- Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
They are old and outdated. Nobody has a clean looking logo and thats "new".
