Hi all,
Just like my logo competition (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17903) this is going to be a little different!
What I am after is TWO templates for TWO sites which will need to be very similar.
1) Piledriver Online
2) Fighting Females
The reason why I've done this as one competition is because I would like to have similar templates for both...showing an obvious connection.
If you could just submit one entry, either Piledriver Online or Fighting Females and if I like one then you can attempt the other. Basically both sites should use the same template but the only differences being a different logo, colours (to match logo) and maybe different images...but the same template.
Company Details
1a) Name of Company:
* Piledriver Online
* Fighting Females
1b) Company Tag Line or slogan:
* Piledriver Online
News, Views & Interviews
* Fighting Females
Giving Women's Wrestling the coverage it deserves
1c) Do you have a company logo?
Yes. Logo files can be found here (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18034).
I have also included an other folder with logos to other sites that you may want to use.
1d) Do you have a corporate visual identity (a customized (non stock) logo and color scheme carried out throughout your office, stationery, business cards, etc.)?
The logo has just been made, I would like the templates to be built around the logo.
1e) What is the nature of your business?: Briefly describe your products or services:
* Piledriver Online
Offers an online magazine (PDF document) that covers the pro wrestling scene from all over especially the UK and the USA. Not just the big companies like WWE or TNA, also the small independent ones running locally. Includes news, articles, interviews etc
* Fighting Females
Offers an online magazine (PDF document) that covers the world of women in pro wrestling from all over especially the UK and the USA. Not just the big companies like WWE or TNA, also the small independent ones running locally. Includes news, articles, interviews etc
1f) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach with your site?
Pro wrestling fans interested in reading the latest news and analysis. Generally it will be mainly male aged between 13-25.
Website Details
1b) Do you have an existing website? If so, what is the URL?
There is only one site (http://tinyurl.com/5ocg8q) that covers both at the moment.
2b) IMPORTANT: Please list at least 3 URLs (web addresses) of high quality sites that you like the look of (these do not have to be sites who’s business is similar to yours. It aids us in determining what your design style is.) Please consider layout, colors, navigation, graphics, and typography.
1) W101 (http://tinyurl.com/3xo6bs) - A site I had designed here also. I think its very simple but looks professional. I like the headers especially with the use of the wrestling ring.
2) FSM (http://tinyurl.com/6rtx4p) - It advertises the magazine which I would need, although I would like something more prominent. I would also the need to show the latest news/articles...again something that stands out abit more.
3) 1pw (http://tinyurl.com/6povs9) - Simple, covers alot on the mainpage but looks good too.
3b) What colors or color schemes would you like?
I would like the content area to have a white background. I do not really have anything particular in mind.
4b) List the Navigation links for your Site:
Main links:
Home
Issues
News
Columns
Other:
About
Contact
FAQ
Links
Write for Us
5b) What type of look are you trying to achieve? (e.g. clean, high-tech, conservative, warm, flashy, etc.)
Clean, professional with some added edge.
Mainpage - Pretty much similar as the current site. HOWEVER I would like:
- a prominent link to each other (so Fighting Females will have a link to Piledriver...and on Piledriver the link will be for Fighting Females)
- a link to a partner site - Wrestling 101 (logo files included so you could use that to make a link/banner)
NEW: Something that is not included in the current site, I'm looking to include an area displaying the latest 10 forum topics from another partner site (talk wrestling online - logo file included).
Sub-page - The sub page needs to contain a content area AND the links to the latest top 10 forum topics.
Basically the same as the mainpage without the general intro stuff!
7b) Do you have any images for use in the design of your site? If not, do you have images, can you offer suggestions of what you type of imagery you feel would be most suitable for your website:
I do not have any images to use but I would prefer generic stuff like wrestling rings, wrestling belts, crowds etc
Deadlines and Deliverables
1c) What is the deadline for your template design?
7th December 2008
2c) Will you require HTML coding?
Yes. PSDs also (incase I need to make future changes)
3c) If so, will you require it to be ONLY CSS layout?
No.
4c) How many pages coded will you require delivered?
4:
1) Mainpage for Piledriver
2) Content page for Piledriver
3) Mainpage for Fighting Females
4) content page for Fighting Females
As I said it should be pretty much the same template with slight changes.
