We have formed a group in Smyrna, GA to protect an 1850's covered bridge and the historic district. We are going to use the logo for our fund raising efforts and for all collateral.

We want something that respects the history but is also fresh and creative. We have many paintings of the bridge, we are not looking for that. Be innovative. I will attach Pictures

$200 award

See Pictures here:

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
We don't have to have any, but you can add things like "Concord Covered Bridge", "Smyrna, GA", "FCCBHD"

What type of product or service do you offer?
We are a neighborhood group working to preserve the history of the area

How long have you been in business?

Hellooo,

Version # 1

I like your work and it looks great, but it feels a little too traditional. I am looking for something a little more contemporary. Please give it another try.

Version # 2

This is headed in the right direction but it is maybe a little too loose. Please keep trying.

I still like version by SkyV the best so far. I do, however, also like the work LutFi is doing. I am planning to present all the ideas to the board next Tuesday for their feedback. I would like to have as many ideas as possible.

LutFi, can you give another shot at version 2? I am intrigued by the graphic nature of it but it is too loose. Can you do a line version that is maybe a little more structured? I hope that makes sense.

Thanks to all of you for your work.

Thanks Paula 23! I really like version 1, but not crazy about version 2. Version one is a good example of respecting the history but trying to give a creative, updated look for the area. Thanks for this.

Again, I am presenting to my fellow board members Tuesday. I want to give as many possibilities as I can.

You folks are all great.

Thanks to all of you! I love the range of work. I am getting different feedback from our group. I can tell you we will be adding a website address for the final version.

I personally really like the SkyV version 01, Paula 23 version 1 and LutFi version 5 the most. With that said, CZ version 1 is interesting as well. Remember, we are trying to develop a logo that is eye-catching, and balances creative, eye-catching graphics of today with a respect for the history.

We are meeting as a group Tuesday night and I will have a better focus on one or two designs. If any of the designers that have submitted have other ideas, throw them out. Also, if anyone else wants to jump in with a different take, I would love to see it.

Our group is very thankful for your efforts and we are looking forward to working with someone to develop the image that will lead to other work for websites, etc.

All the best....

Good evening folks, I hope you are all well. We had our board meeting last night and I got a lot of feedback. Everyone was very impressed with your work and thankful for your effort. We are eager to move into the final phases of the design to work toward a decision. Here is the general feedback:

1. The Text should have the following information - Concord Covered Bridge, Cobb County, GA. We will also have a web address (www.coveredbridgedistrict.org).

2. Font - no script. The tendency was more in favor of the sans serif. Some designs mixed the fonts and that is ok.

3. We need to have a design that will work well for color (if applicable) and black & white. We also need a design that can work for print and embroidery.

There are parts of all the designs that people like. There is not anything the group didn't like. The following are the favorite designs (in no particular order) and the corresponding feedback:

1. SkyV Version 01 - people loved the feel of the design. The text needs to be changed. One question was can we see something with some brighter coloring?

2. Paula 23 Version 1 - Interesting look that really gives a current day feel and all liked the energy. Our directions asked to respect the history but give it a modern day feel. The group felt this might be a little too heavy on the modern. Some felt it reminded them of a train. Can we dial it back just a bit? Also, add the windows.

3. LutFi Version #3 - Everyone liked the respect for the bridge. Concerns revolved around the embroidery aspect in that the trees might get lost. In this version, they are in a winter scene. Can we change the season and fill them out a little. Also, the border felt a little old.

4. LutFi Version #5 - The simplicity was nice. Needs windows and maybe a little more action. There is water running under the bridge and some wondered if this action could be added to yours.

Those are the main things for now. I would like to see revision ideas and potential new ideas encompassing this feedback. I would like to be able to make a decision on a design/designer next week.

Thanks again to all of you for your work.

Thanks for the revisions folks.

Paula 23 on version 3 can you make the water move under the bridge as it would with a river? I am glad you added the water but it looks more like a bridge over a lake. Also, can you change "Cobb County" to "Smyrna, GA"?

More to come later.

Thanks...
